"Girls when you are with someone how do you sleep?"
 
   It's been my experience that once sex is over the girl rolls on her side facing away from the guy, with her legs curled up and her legs tightly closed. Is there any way to get her out of this position, or am I out of luck?

I think you're out of luck Nemo. I've had the lady roll over and curl. I've also had ladies that cuddle up with their head on my chest. All depends on the girl and her perceived connection with you. And, yes, that goes for civies as well as providers.

I agree, I'd cuddle up with my head on their chest with any of my past boyfriends. But if I'm not feelin' the guy I'll turn over and cuddle with my pillow instead. You can read a lot from body language. You just need to find a gal that's into you, that's all.

   Thats not always true. My GF and I both prefer to sleep non-contact. That way small movements of the other party dont wake each other up. We have sex, cuddle for a while and then turn on sides away from each other. Its not a sign of not being into each other. If we wake up in the middle of the night we do affectionately touch each other.

   I agree, my sleep position has nothing to do with lack of affection. I sleep on my side, using a body pillow, a habit I feel into after knee surgery.

Plus, men are too warm when they sleep. Nothing makes me more uncomfortable than a guy draped over me all night, making me sweat becuz of his body heat. I need to maintain a cool temp to sleep well, not the mention the dead weight of an adult male on me for hours would be kind of suffocating.

Now, if a person refuses to cuddle after sex and immediately rolls away, that is another matter, and that can indicate some intimacy issues. But thinking a person doesn't like you becuz they don't want you on top of them all night is making some big assumptions...

   I've never had this experience before, all my past GF's wanted to cuddle afterwards or go again after a short break. I did once have a GF that was so sensitive after sex that I couldn't even touch her at all.

   I LOVE spooning... I'm such a cuddler.

I think distance between bodies says more than the direction one is facing... I feel more vulnerable with my back facing outward, so if I have my back facing a guy, I'm wanting him to scoot over to me (and of course, I will back up into him, too, risking poking lol) and wrap an arm around me. If I face a guy, it generally means I'm not as comfortable. But the space, really, is what says everything... going to the edge of the bed, pulling away, etc, pretty much all mean "stay on your side!"

There's still hope!

   Did you ever see the Steve Martin movie 'Shop Girl". there is an interesting theme running in there abut what the post coital embrace means, depending on the degree of love.

But seriously... I'm sorry for your place with your wife. It is never easy going through the things people do in long term committed relationships. I guess it's the question 'Is it me' that must really f*ck with our constitution. But the fact is... It's not personal. I'm sure it has to do with the hormonal bullsh*t or some other factor that does not make total sense and has people questioning themselves.
That's why you guys have us. I love to fill the voids that life sometimes throws out way. It's one of the things I grew to really love about providing.

A veterinarian client of mine says she has a similar problem with hedgehogs.
When hedgehogs are frightened, they, too, curl up in a tight ball making examination difficult.
The remedy is to stick your finger up the hedgehogs butt.
I guess that would work in this situation as well

I'm a blanket stealer. I toss, turn and sometimes thrash. I've been heard talking and once laughing in my sleep. Except with my first husband, when I was truly happy. We were cuddled up and entwined every night.

You're asking about two separate things, sleeping & post-coital cuddle.

Generally, I've worked up a sweat during sex and have no particular desire for full on-body contact, but I still want some connection/contact. I prefer the snuggle under the arm cuddle post coitus.

For sleeping, I've always been a spooner. There's something comforting about snuggling up to a woman's back and sleeping with a handful of nice breast flesh! When I'm with some one I like, I've been told I reach over in the middle of the night, grab her and pull her into a cuddle, all without waking.

Now, I use a CPAP so cuddle days are pretty much over. While I no longer snore, most people don't want a breeze blowing over their neck...

Back when Amber Moore (http://www.myredbook.com/showpro.aspx?id=10238) went through her lesbian/no-penetration phase, she still wanted to sleep with a man... so long as there was no sex. It was interesting to see how much affection & touch/distance she wanted during different sleepovers. Since she invited me to visit her (off the clock), it was something she obviously wanted or needed.
