"You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."Just like everyone else, I have regrets about lost opportunities. Over the years I've reached these (not too startling) conclusions:
- most women like guys to make the first move
- most women react favorably to real confidence (not false bravado)
- social skills get better with practice
One of the paradoxes of dating (I'm told), is that beautiful women can find it hard to get decent dates because regular guys are reluctant to approach them.
So, practice. Be prepared to get turned down most of the time. Remember that there are lots of legit reasons for being turned down that don't have to do with you. If you strike out, don't creep out. Just move on.
Build your skills by approaching girls who are attractive and friendly, but not the rock-your-world types. Sooner or later you'll be successful. A few successes with coffee dates at Starbucks will make you more confident when you encounter that hottie you can't stop thinking about.
You may do better when your initial approach is about something of possible mutual interest. With a salesgirl, try asking for an opinion about a product, advice on buying a gift for a relative, how she likes the paperback she's reading -- something simple that gets a conversation started and demonstrates you are paying attention to something about her other than her cute face or her hot bod. Come across as warm and trustworthy. If it goes well, ask her if she'd like to chat over coffee.
FWIW, I think that seeing providers can also be helpful. Skilled providers makes you feel like the king of the world for an hour, and many of them have accomplishments and interests worth talking about. Spend a little extra on a longer session and engage in some small talk. It's like, "Hey, I just had a great conversation with this beautiful naked woman about her film collection (or economics or music or veterinary science)." Talking with a gal who's just given you some great head can be a confidence builder -- even when you substitute cash for the icebreaker.
