"Southerner has entered the CH.....round up the usual suspects"

LAST EDITED ON 16-Jan-10 AT 06:15 PM (PST)

I can never sleep if I am waiting for an alarm to ring. And sure enough I did not get a wink of sleep Tuesday night. So at 3:50 am and with 10 minuets before the damn thing was set to ring I got up and started getting ready of go. My airline has been lopping off flights and the only direct flights to SF is at the un-godly hour of 7:30am and the only other one is at 4:00PM. Oh well, maybe I could catch some sleep in the air.

It's been unusually cold here and when I get in the car it's below freezing. I think to myself "man, you are getting too old for this shit." Still, it will be good to get into warmer climes. But my luck changed when I got to the airport, I got a window seat with no one in the middle seat. It was a smooth flight and I got to doze a little. The plane landed early, I walked to the BART and a train was waiting for me, paid $8.10 to ride to Powell St. I don't remember it being that much, when did it go up? I got set up in the hotel with time to get the $5.00 discount at the CH.

The guy behind the counter was the Tony Soprano gang member guy; and he seemed to be in a great mood. As he stamped my hand he jokingly told me he would have to take my watch before I could go in. I tried to think of a witty reply but mumbled something unintelligible as I walked in. Anyway, I appreciated the friendly banter and wished I could have been faster on my feet.

My luck was still holding up, Tiffany was just coming out on stage. The place had almost no patrons and no one was stageside. So I set down and watched her show by myself. Love her or hate her Tiffany is still a hot little number and I do love her stage show. She was wearing a fur coat with no sleves, which was the last thing to come off. After her three dances I started to feel really weak and realized that I had not eaten a thing all day. My blood sugar must have been really low, so I decided to cut this visit short and get some lunch before I passed out. As I left the CH I thought to myself, "maybe I really am getting too old for this shit".

After lunch and some rest I went back to the Crazy Horse late in the afternoon. A lot more names was on the commander board, some I was familiar with and some were new. A few more people in the audience but it was still a light crowd. I sat down and in no time Angeli came by and asked for a dance. It's been a long time since I got a dance from Angeli but I told her to chcek back with me later. Baby was just coming on stage and I had heard a lot of good things about Baby and I wanted to see her for myself. Once again; Panthers description and recommendation is spot on. Baby is hot and as nice as she can be. Karma came by and asked for a dance. I was not ready for one but I have made that mistake one time too many so I accepted and struggled to make that token machine work. Two tokens got me a topples. Karma is everything I hoped for and more. I think I will be a fan of hers for life.

After the dance with Karma I sat back down and several girls came by but I declined their offers. One was Amber. Amber is very good. She comes across as very intelligent, confident and gives the impression that she is there to have fun and well as to make money. Another one was Baby. Baby said she was from Georga and had been to South Carolina but not North Carolina. She is super sweet, Comrade Topoff sould consider slipping through the Iron Curtain and checking this girl out. If I was not suffering from such a bad case of yellow fever I sure would have taken both Amber and Baby to the back.

Angeli came back and asked if I was ready. I was, so we were off to the back for a regular PS. Panther used to call her "the joy factory" and friends; that description is still accurate. I could not help wondering why I waited so long to get a dance with her again.

Then two disturbing things happened. One was when a black girl came on stage, I think it must have been Brizil, but don't quote me on that. Anyway, not one of the slugs sitting on the front row put down a single dollar bill for her. The DJ had to get nine foot up their asses and remind them to tip. I thought that maybe it was just a coincidence but I saw it happen again on the night shift. Come on guys, you live in liberal San Francisco.

The other one was when Divine came out to dance. I looked at her and she looked so familiar but I could not place the name with the face. Divine? Divine? Divine? I know that girl.....it's Didi! Didi, why did you change your name? Except that her hair was about three times longer than it was the last time I saw her she looked almost the same. If she had gained weight; she must have lost it. I thought she looked great. How could I have not reconized Didi? Ah gee, maybe I really am getting too old for this shit.

The night shift was coming in. Time to walk to Chinatown and the King Tin rest. and get some roast duck over rice. Hey ya'll, I am going to eat the skin and fat. It may kill me, but what a way to go.

Southerner has entered the CH.... round up the usual suspects Part 11 coming up.

Welcome Back Southerner!! Great trip report just like always.

You know it's really a shame when some girls come on stage, and the front row clears, or the classless guys refuse to tip. If I see Brazil tonight, I'm going to make it rain for her... or at least tip her a fiver to get the cheapskates started.

Are you going to be at the CH tonight?

I'll be there. I'm going to be wearing a black cap with a certain NFL team logo. I wonder how many out there are going to spot me. Tiger spotted me last time when he brought some super hot chick with him.

Southerner's already back in Southerner-land, Netnerd - I don't think he'll spot you.

Glad you had fun with Angeli, the human joy factory. That Baby's pretty hot, isn't she?

Oh, and Karma --- RRRRoowwwrrr!!

I don't know if southerner visits the CH by cabbing, walking, or taking the muni. you'll need to ask him via inbox.

one thing i know is that he likes to kick it whenever he's in the the city dowtown, shopping at Union Square, and staying at the St Francis on Powell, dancing the night away at Harry's Starlight room on the top floor, enjoying the sights and sounds that's san francisco, after raining his monies on the horsies at the house.

Southerner @1:59 running on Chestnut street.

Southener's got a horsie friend in San Francisco
When the whole world lets him down
Southener can always find some comfort
In this breezy little town

On a hill by the bay
Where the horsie.a meets the sky
All his blues melt away
On a San Francisco high

Southener's living easy and free
On a San Francisco high
There's no other city
That can take his breath away

Like Paris by the ocean
On a perfect Autumn day
Tourists sigh with envy
As they stroll through Union Square
Even proud New Yorkers say
There's magic in the air

Streets are filled with music
And alive with style and light
There's a sweet nirvana stirring
On a mid market corridor night

Southener loves to walk aimless miles
And watching horsies go by
Everyone wearing smile

On a San Francisco high

.
.
.

Oh, yes, that's benjie walking aimlessly @2:19 and forward.

>> I walked to the BART and a train was waiting for me, paid $8.10 to ride to Powell St. I don't remember it being that much, when did it go up? <<

http://www.bart.gov/news/articles/2009/news20090528.aspx

As with most every transit agency, city, state, etc., budgets, BART has a very large budget deficit and the next years' will be even larger. To help close the gap, they have raised fares (although to me, I would think they would want to encourage people to ride to SFO! And rasing fares is not the way), cut train service (mostly after 7:00 PM) and reduced support staff (janitors, maintenance workers, etc.)

One of their support statements to justify the increases? They say due to the bad economy [California's jobless rate is over 12%!] people losing jobs, etc., there are less people riding BART. Thus, fare revenue is less. And the budget gap grows.

I would think that they should instead look to modifying the union contracts. Funny, that is never mentioned as a partial solution to the budget woes. ... But to me, BART is still THE best way to get into S.F.!

Southerner, I hope you have a super time at CH! From what I have read, there are some new dancers that would seem to be ones you would want to check out. ... And if you are going to be here through next week, better get a cheapie umbrella. They are predicting lots of rain.

...and miles to go before I sleep...

Hey there Suth'ner. Welcome back. There certainly was a stellar line-up on that was for dam' sure on Friday. Were you in on Saturday? More than 60% was of the Asian persuasion Jessica, Angeli, Mika, Midori and Paradise. I know that I am missing someone and the RB list isn't complete.
I am also one that when I am there I will not let a girl dance to an empty stage. Although it may irritate the gal that I am sitting with at the time, I will move and sit stage side. I did that once for Angeli and she gave me a three song LD. This was a couple of years ago and I still get a chuckle when I talk to her about it. YMMV. I am a firm believer in just being nice.
I was there today. A reasonable line-up although not as good as Friday's. Not going to go into any details at this time But I had a great time.

Fine trip report, Comrade southerner. I will keep in mind that Didi is now going by the name of Divine. Comrade Topov has been checking the schedule and was confused by the absence of Didi's name. It's about time for me to hit the CH and see how the dear girl is doing.

Glad you enjoyed that roast duck, coach -- you deserve it. Always glad to hear the perspective from someone on the other side of the country (allegedly, according to some).

I didn't get to go this weekend because of prior commitments, so I guess my faves will have to wait a bit longer before they get pounced on.

The more I hear about Karma, the more I just have to suck it up and come in while the sun is still shining. One of these days...

Straight cash homey.

Netnerd, I wish I could have stayed through the weekend, and it would be neat to meet some of you guys, but I had to fly home Friday morning. However, I will be back Wends, so I hope the rain will be over by then.

Apollo, I sometimes make the mistake of thinking that everyone on RB knows me by now. Don't let Ben fool you, I don't live in Sunset, I live the Charlotte North Carolina. Heck, I did not even know where Sunset was until I looked it up on the map. If I lived in Sunset I would have called myself "Westerner". Anyway, thats my story and I am sticking to it.

Gearjammer, You are a good man. Yeah, I can forgive guys for not wanting to tip every girl that comes on stage, and I realize that people are not going to like ever girl the same, but they need to move away from the front row if they are not going to tip each and every girl. And I don't mean that they should wait until the girl actually comes out on stage to retreat. How is the girl supposed to feel when she comes out and everyone is running away from the stage as if the place just cought on fire? I know I'm not the coolest or the most generous guy, but I know not to sit on the front row and not tip.

Tiger, Karma is something else. Of course I have this weakness for asian girls. Anyway, Tigerman, if you do see Karma, see to it that you are not called for "Illegal use of hands" and if you are lucky you may even get a "touchback" or two. And always wear a cup. You are looking out of shape man, go do some laps.

Damn coach, you know I've been on the bench since my last game in December. I don't how that worked out -- I had a game for the ages and I get benched?

Saturday sounded like it was nine kinds of awesome. I wonder how my favorites were.

Straight cash homey.

OK, Tiger, your contract is on the line; either you produce MARIAH or give us a good reason for your performance glitch...perhaps more steroids?

Ok Fred, you have found me out. I usually sleep in a doorway over on Post. You are wrong about the taxi. I wont be eligible for SS until later this year so I make money by selling the homeless news paper or spare changing the tourist on Powell. When I have enough money I take the bus, otherwise I walk. But Fred, I know who you are. I see you all the time. Whenever I ask you for spare change, you always walk past me and say "get a job you lazy bastard." LOL.
