LAST EDITED ON 16-Jan-10 AT 06:15 PM (PST)
I can never sleep if I am waiting for an alarm to ring. And sure enough I did not get a wink of sleep Tuesday night. So at 3:50 am and with 10 minuets before the damn thing was set to ring I got up and started getting ready of go. My airline has been lopping off flights and the only direct flights to SF is at the un-godly hour of 7:30am and the only other one is at 4:00PM. Oh well, maybe I could catch some sleep in the air. It's been unusually cold here and when I get in the car it's below freezing. I think to myself "man, you are getting too old for this shit." Still, it will be good to get into warmer climes. But my luck changed when I got to the airport, I got a window seat with no one in the middle seat. It was a smooth flight and I got to doze a little. The plane landed early, I walked to the BART and a train was waiting for me, paid $8.10 to ride to Powell St. I don't remember it being that much, when did it go up? I got set up in the hotel with time to get the $5.00 discount at the CH.
The guy behind the counter was the Tony Soprano gang member guy; and he seemed to be in a great mood. As he stamped my hand he jokingly told me he would have to take my watch before I could go in. I tried to think of a witty reply but mumbled something unintelligible as I walked in. Anyway, I appreciated the friendly banter and wished I could have been faster on my feet.
My luck was still holding up, Tiffany was just coming out on stage. The place had almost no patrons and no one was stageside. So I set down and watched her show by myself. Love her or hate her Tiffany is still a hot little number and I do love her stage show. She was wearing a fur coat with no sleves, which was the last thing to come off. After her three dances I started to feel really weak and realized that I had not eaten a thing all day. My blood sugar must have been really low, so I decided to cut this visit short and get some lunch before I passed out. As I left the CH I thought to myself, "maybe I really am getting too old for this shit".
After lunch and some rest I went back to the Crazy Horse late in the afternoon. A lot more names was on the commander board, some I was familiar with and some were new. A few more people in the audience but it was still a light crowd. I sat down and in no time Angeli came by and asked for a dance. It's been a long time since I got a dance from Angeli but I told her to chcek back with me later. Baby was just coming on stage and I had heard a lot of good things about Baby and I wanted to see her for myself. Once again; Panthers description and recommendation is spot on. Baby is hot and as nice as she can be. Karma came by and asked for a dance. I was not ready for one but I have made that mistake one time too many so I accepted and struggled to make that token machine work. Two tokens got me a topples. Karma is everything I hoped for and more. I think I will be a fan of hers for life.
After the dance with Karma I sat back down and several girls came by but I declined their offers. One was Amber. Amber is very good. She comes across as very intelligent, confident and gives the impression that she is there to have fun and well as to make money. Another one was Baby. Baby said she was from Georga and had been to South Carolina but not North Carolina. She is super sweet, Comrade Topoff sould consider slipping through the Iron Curtain and checking this girl out. If I was not suffering from such a bad case of yellow fever I sure would have taken both Amber and Baby to the back.
Angeli came back and asked if I was ready. I was, so we were off to the back for a regular PS. Panther used to call her "the joy factory" and friends; that description is still accurate. I could not help wondering why I waited so long to get a dance with her again.
Then two disturbing things happened. One was when a black girl came on stage, I think it must have been Brizil, but don't quote me on that. Anyway, not one of the slugs sitting on the front row put down a single dollar bill for her. The DJ had to get nine foot up their asses and remind them to tip. I thought that maybe it was just a coincidence but I saw it happen again on the night shift. Come on guys, you live in liberal San Francisco.
The other one was when Divine came out to dance. I looked at her and she looked so familiar but I could not place the name with the face. Divine? Divine? Divine? I know that girl.....it's Didi! Didi, why did you change your name? Except that her hair was about three times longer than it was the last time I saw her she looked almost the same. If she had gained weight; she must have lost it. I thought she looked great. How could I have not reconized Didi? Ah gee, maybe I really am getting too old for this shit.
The night shift was coming in. Time to walk to Chinatown and the King Tin rest. and get some roast duck over rice. Hey ya'll, I am going to eat the skin and fat. It may kill me, but what a way to go.
Southerner has entered the CH.... round up the usual suspects Part 11 coming up.
