I disagree. The average women is 5'3.5". Unless you are basing your average on a heavy weighting of Asian dancers, in my opinion the average dancer is taller than the average women, easily.

According to this site, the average height for an American female is 5'4. According to the hordes of American women I see nightly; 5'6 - 5'9 (or taller) seems to be the norm. Perhaps "Party-Girls" are taller than regular women?!?

Another statistic I question is the height and WEIGHT of the average American male. 5'9 may be cutting it short. (pun not intended) Most American males I see are in the vicinity of 5'11 - 6'0. It was also stated on this site that the average height for an American male is 5'9 at 180 lbs?!?

At 5'9 and 180, either the dude is slightly buffed, or more than likely has a gut AND spare tire to boot. Most every dude I know who's 5'9 - 5'10 and weighs in the vicinity of 180lbs has a BIG gut, or is slightly buffed. 5'9 at 165-170lbs sounds more realistic, unless the average American male is simply out of shape...

No. Fred Astaire was exactly 5 ft 9 in barefoot, probably average in height for a definitely talented dancer.

I'm a pretty tall guy, so to me 5'9" isn't particularly tall for a dancer.

My very favorite dancer of all time was 5'7" tall and she said she weighed 135 lbs. Looked just about perfect to me, either in her heels or barefoot.

Of course, if you're really concerned about a woman's height, you could just go out and find some really attractive short women and make them stand on a chair. Squinting would exaggerate the effect.

It's true that heels can distort a woman's height, but it always distorts it in a good way.

I have no issues if a woman is taller than me in heels. Confidence. That's all it comes down to. ML clearly has none and definitely doesn't know how to get any.
