Congrats on taking control of your club and changing some of the ridiculous pricing policies put in place by the previous regime. The fact that you took these steps and now appear to be listening to your customers here on RB are steps in the right direction.

I used to visit MBOT regularly, usually twice a week, and spent more money than I care to admit. The price hikes and tightened rules of conduct resulted in a slow but steady reduction in visits. It simply was not as much fun as it once was. The girls seemed more stressed about not breaking the rules and more desperate about winning you as a customer, that the 'party' atmosphere vanished. Now, I'm lucky if I drop in once every two or three months.

I miss the days when a dancer could sit and chat and not have to worry about spending too much time with you or being charged for a lapdance because they are sitting on your lap. Guess what, sitting and chatting helps build rapport. And when a girl sat on my lap and spent a bit of time with me, it almost always resulted in my dropping more money at the club. I will usually summarily dismiss a girl if all she manages to say to me is, "Wanna have some fun?" and then moves on. It is the dancer that chats me up a bit that gets my business.

So if you could see fit to loosen things up a little and let the girls mingle like they once did, I think everyone would agree the place would become less morgue-like and more FUN. I am not suggesting that the club loses money by allowing free lap dances, most people can tell when a dancer is giving a lap dance or just sitting and talking to a customer. Just allow the girls some more space to practice their seduction skills. Encourage friendliness!

Help make MBOT fun again! I would hate to see this club go out of business due to managerial stupidity.

   As usual, you completely miss the point. It would be to their mutual benefit ultimately resulting in higher income to loosen things up.

It really will require an equal, if not greater, adjustment on the dancers' part for this new price structure to improve matters.

Has anyone encountered them wanting more for the same service now that more of their "time" is involved in a PS? That would spell immediate self-defeat. For instance, with implementation of the last changes, the mezzanine booths were converted to sheer curtains for semi-private nude dances priced @$40 for five minutes on the meter with suggested "tip" to the dancer of $50 ($90 total). I made it a point to offer $100, yet encounter some wanting $140 -- a HUGE turnoff and completely not in keeping with what the spirit of the changes were meant to bring.

I hpoe none of the same thinking prevails.

   But unfortunately, not really surprising, right? When the first disastrous changes were made by management, the girls passed 100% of the increase to customers, even though they were no longer having to tip out. In other words, at a time when attendance was plummeting, the girls raised their take on a single dance (and guaranteed they would get far fewer dances). I would not be surprised to see some of them use this as an opportunity to do so again, and partially counteract the lower pricing. Here's hoping it doesn't work out that way

   What a remarkably silly take. In any strip club of which I'm aware, "working" includes chatting up the customers, getting to know the customers and vice versa (although of course the persona that the dancer presents may well be a fake one). There is no question that for many customers - perhaps not for you, but certainly for many - this is an important part of selling a private show. It's not so much about making friends as establishing a connection. MBOT's restrictions on dancers and customers using the seating areas for conversation were as ill-considered as the ridiculous price hikes in basic lapdances, another entree to selling high-dollar private shows that the club foolishly gutted with its prior policies.

The club isn't paying the girls at all, unless you count the piddling minimum wage paychecks they get. They earn their money from the customers. If they can generate more money from the customers by sitting around and talking to them, that's exactly what they should do. It should be up to the girls, not the club, to determine the best - that is, most lucrative - use of their time.
