"Best Dancers at Asking For a Dance?"

It struck me watching Jordan kind of flail around wondering which way to go to get a guy to dance for last night that there are very few dancers that are all that good at asking for dances.

It seems to be one of the most difficult skills there is for dancers. The dancers that I can think of with the most seeming ease were long-time veterans like Mercedes or Mila, when she's around.

But at CH, lots of the younger/newer dancers plant themselves in their chairs, seeming not to want to circulate at all, other dancers walk around with nervous expressions on their face, like Finesse when I lucked into finding her standing next to me last night.

Most of these dancers are much more at ease once the agreement to get the dance is over, but that part of the job seems to present real challenges.

Any suggestions as to current dancers that live in this country that are good at circulating/asking for dances?

The new short asian girl, forget her name... Mika maybe? or was it Mimi... Something like that... She exudes confidence and doesn't take rejection hard at all.

I hate the formalities like, what's your name, how's your night been, are you just coming off of work, have you been here before, etc... Just hurry up and ask me if I want a dance already. We both know where this is going and I don't want to waste your time or you mine...

I totally know what you mean about girls planting themselves in their chairs. Jessi seems to do that ALL the time, she hardly ever asks anyone for a dance, I think she just waits around for her regulars , or I don't know what, I've made eye contact with her and she never comes around. and Bebe (not to be confused with the new Baby) - haven't seen her around in a while but she definitely chills in her seat. Why?? work the room! especially if there's new people coming in. maybe those people came in to see you!

Britney when she's around. Lena (Alina's getting better but she still tends to park in one area).

I will second Mila. She had a way of making you feel like the chef came out to personally greet you at the table. And subsequently invited you to re-create the kitchen scene in The Postman Always Rings Twice.

Scgb, I think he meant that she sits in one spot( usually by stripper row) for an extended period of time. About Jessi, she does seem to spend a great deal of time with her regulars( im guessing probably because they spend a great deal of their $ on her), but next week would be a great time to go in and get some dances with her as she is featuring with Versace.

I always admired the way CH Olivia worked the floor, asking both regulars and new customers for dances and seemingly spending the right amount of time with each person depending on how interested they were. Of the newer horsies, I think that Mika does a good job of circulating and asking for dances.

I hate to say so (because this works in the PL's favor), but I think one of the reasons girls don't work the room so hard is just that the "flow" of the room makes it harder to work a room, than say Gold Club, which has a wide open floor. At CH, it's easy for a PL to sit at the far end of a row and avoid the attention of badgering dancers, and actually enjoy the stage shows. A girl will get tired of tiptoeing to that far-off PL, only to be turned down and have to make the long embarrassing trek back to the crowded main aisle.

CH LENA is a real pro - great practitioner of the art of inveigling. Can't say the same for her STACKED, but vapid sibling, however...

Thanks, Eddie/Elvis

   Eddie,

Trust me, there is nothing vapid about ALINA!

LENA and ALINA are 1A and 1B on my very, very short list at CH. And I have very high SC standards when it comes to dancers.

CH Pamela Slate is pretty good at asking for a dance -- unless she thinks you blew her off earlier in the evening!

Personally, I prefer to do the asking. Why? Because most of the dancers seem to enjoy it more when I do the asking for them.

Yeah, because the act of asking for dances is no fun for most dancers, there are definitely Nice Points earned when you ask for a dance, unless you're pouncing or interrupting or being an asshole in other ways.

This is a fantstic question. My experience is that older veteran dancers (been at CH > 3 yrs) are usually much bolder and chiller about the approach.

However, I also think there is an advanced version of this phenomenon. The girls who are really really self-confident are the ones who will see you checking her out, will then smile and look you directly in the eyes as she approaches, but then midway will turn and start talking to another schlump, flirting heavily with the schlump while giving you a look from the corner of her eye simply to make you jealous, will get the schlump to do a PS, and will walk right past you hand-in-hand with him again giving you a devious look, making you wait another 15,20,30 minutes with an increasingly intense case of blue balls, to then come back out and talk to you...KNOWING with 100% confidence that she was going to land a PS with you when she got out.

One very popular dancer was notorious for doing this when she first started about two years ago. At one point, I said screw it, would wait for her stage set to finish, would then sit on dancer row (first set of seats in the main section, not facing the stage, right next to the door to the 2nd PS area), and as soon as she came out, I would stand up and walk toward the dressing area to cut her off before she got to any other guy. Got the best dances every time.

So totally agree with the spirit of the question that some dancers are inherently more comfortable/experienced with the environment, but I say skate to the puck instead of waiting for the puck to come to you.

Justine used to somehow fall into my lap, and I can't resist that accent. She has gotten a lot more voluptuous now, so I hope she doesn't do that anymore.

Tigers are hunters, not scavengers. If I want to get a dance, I'll go get her; within reason of course.

But if a dancer should be wont to take notes, she should be studying Lena or Justine.

Straight cash homey.

Totally agree about Justine's approach! I remember the first time I got a dance with her was after she sat down next to me and spent some time chatting and letting me get to know her. She was so friendly, sweet, absolutely gorgeous and that accent really got to me. I've been a big fan of hers ever since. Now whenever I see her, she jumps up or comes over, gives me a big hug and we head straight for the PS room.

Finesse was another dancer who sat down and took her time chatting and getting to know me. I didn't even get a dance with her that first time, but she made a great impression and the next time I saw her she remembered me and we talked again prior to heading to the back for a dance.

All the other dancers that just come over and ask for a dance straight off, get a polite, "No, thank you!" To me, being able to talk with a dancer and get a feeling for whether or not I'd even be interested in getting a dance is really important. To those of you who contribute to this forum, "THANK YOU!" I definitely look for the dancers that have positive reputations and comments made about them. A large percentage of the dancers will ask for a dance without even telling me their name, if they won't identify themselves I just move on or look for a dancer I've already built that relationship with.

Is it bad luck to be superstitious?

I don't live in SF, but made the mistake of dating a stripper who was very successful, and told me that her method was to keep circulating constantly, and to ask each customer 3 times if he wanted a dance. She regularly banked $1000-1500, while other dancers sat sulking at the bar, earning nothing!

I actually like Sharlette's approach, walking around smiling devilishly at guys without asking per se. This way, I can just smile back or ask her for a dance if I want.

I hate the other two extremes -- the overly desperate girl who asks everybody down the row, or the one who sits by herself or, worse, with a regular and just chats forever while I'm wondering when she'll be free.

Most of my other favorites I've had to chase down; not because they didn't notice me, but because they get pretty busy (and for good reason).

Let me put it this way; asking her for a dance makes you memorable. And in this game, you definitely want to be memorable.

Straight cash homey.

I think it depends on the club and how at ease the dancers are at the work environment. Just go to one of the Deja Vu joints and you'll see a whole new level of hustle.

No doubt - I've only been at Centerfolds SF a couple of times - the time I went when it was busy, I felt like I needed a fly swatter to fend off the non-stop requests for dances.

Jordan is a pretty girl, young and petite. Typical features that draws attention. But it isn't just her approach that she lacks. She also does a poor stage show. I've watched her a few times and she almost never gets off the stage to give anybody a little tease or sample. She also almost never go for the regular LD being a new girl that nobody has really gotten much experience with. She only asks for private dances, and if regular dances are requested; she most often will turn them down. So with all those factors in place, you start seeing her ponder around all confused.

If only she has the same playfulness and feisty like the previous Jordan. She would be a hot commodity there.

I had different experiences in terms of her stage show - the thing that made me feel OK about getting a PS from her without having an LD was that she's been cool to me in her stage shows - lots of good tease, GREAT pussy shows, some mini-lap activity, she was relaxed and smiled - all good stuff.

I don't like to be asked "would you like a lap dance sweetie" or some such. There are some clubs like Cheetahs in Atlanta where the girls are not allowed to ask customers for a dance. Instead, the men pick the girl(s) they would like dances from. I think this is better from a customer point of view because a) you get the dancer(s) you want and b) you don't have to continually be interrupted and respectfully decline. And, BTW, some dancers are pushy and/or not nice when you turn them down. I do like it when a club does a line-up of dancers on stage so you can see who's working that night.
