"Strip club addicts are institutionalized like prisoners"

LAST EDITED ON 18-Aug-10 AT 12:23 PM (PST)

I just watched a movie called "The Shawshank Redemption". In this movie, a prisoner who spent nearly 40 years in prison got released in prison. But he was not used to the free world. He's what they called "institutionalized", meaning he was locked up for so long that he's used to the prison life already and he doesn't want to be released anymore. And within a month of his released, he hanged himself at the apartment that government assigned him right after a day's work at the government assigned job, which is at a supermarket. This is back in the 60s. In his letter, he said he's scared all the time because he doesn't know how to cope with the outside world. He constantly thought of breaking the law again so he can get back in to prison. But he's simply too old to commit a crime. So at the end he has chosen another way out.

It's true. When they told me I am banned from all the clubs, I was scared I guess you can say. And all of my friends who are also addicts of strip clubs tell me that they are even more shy now then before they started going to strip club. They can no longer function normally like a normal man. They can't speak to girls at the bar. They can't find a date simply because they are too lazy for that, etc.

Yeah after watching this film, I realized that all strip club addicts are institutionalized, like like the prisoners. And I realized one thing: I am free. I am free from the institution. I have to find a way to get back on track. I need to be normal again. Because in the real world strange girls won't come up to you and hug you and touch your hair. You have to do all the talking and convince them to give you a minute of their time.

It's still hard on me after almost a year. But Im trying. I am using craigslist and match.com to meet people. I met a few. Im going to hit the bars this week. This film really taught me a lot. I am free. When I was in the strip club, I was in an institution. Im very glad that I finished watching this film. I was going to stop the film at the beginning because it looks boring. But I decided later to finish watching it. Then when I finished watching it, I realized that Im a free man. Im not a "controlled subject" anymore. And yes, I am ready to live a normal life. It's going to be hard, But Im willing to try.

LOL you're taking all this shit so seriously. Strip clubs are a mean for entertainment, nothing more, never anything more.

But that doesn't explain why so many men get old at strip clubs. I've seen too many of them. Fine men at their 30s or 40s, nothing wrong with them, got good jobs, but go to strip club everyday. They are institutionalized.

Some claim to have a "voracious appetite" for sex, and hobbying is a form of "variety."

YOU, my PL friend, are supposed to be an adult in order to partake in ADULT entertainment...try to grow up a bit.

But all men are like this. All I know is when you go out in normal world, girls don't come up to you, start talking, hug you and touch your hair. Then you start to say, "Hey. Those girls on the street. Why can't they just do what strippers do to me? What's wrong with them?" Yeah you start to think girls on the street are not normal.

You are sand bagging everything into your perception. Not "all men are like this" and girls "in the normal world" do approach guys. You need to get out the house more and explore the world more before generalizing what "the normal world" is. lol

Exclude the hugging part; it happens to me quite a bit...

I know that 10 years later when I go inside a strip club, I will see all of you sitting there. Your hair's all white. Your belly shows, and you are willing to pay $20 tip just because a stripper tells you that you are as handsome as a 20 year old TV star.

ML, you can jam up this board with bullshit threads with a lot less effort. You're not addicted to strip clubs, you're addicted to being a dick on the internet.

hey manhattan2 want to jump on the bandwagon and start going to mexico instead of strip clubs? ha ha. But the thing i love about strip clubs is they wear 8 inch heels. in bars they don't wear 8 inch heels. I know you don't like sport games but there are tons of girls at the giants if you wanna go there. Just like how scientlogy has tons of girls the giants statium probably has more girls. Oh wait the girls im thinking of at the park were the strippers handing out paper.

Scientology girls are friggin GORGEOUS. I knew this one Scientology girl nearly 20 years ago who looked as HAWT as a porn star. While she was fervently attempting to recruit me into Scientology, she couldn't help but notice a roving hand on her upper leg...

Thanks, Eddie/Elvis

But its true though. Ever since I stopped going, I am more willing to meet people. I use craigslist or match.com. I dated a few girls from there. It's like if you are out of unemployment benefit, you are more eager to find a job.

but if aubrey or sarah were your wife they would make you go to church all the time and it would contradict your own beliefs. Are you willing to audit 6 hours a day? oh guys I am an ex scientologist btw. I am what you call a declared ''SP'' and am no longer allowed in the vincinity of the church.

i was banned from scientology because I got a refund. Your not allowed to ever go back once you get a refund. The reason I got a refund is this. They lied to me. Sold me a course for $800. Then 2 weeks later said i would have to buy all the other courses for 3 grand. They said I must buy all the courses to be qualified for the one i already bought. Then I said to carl that its not fair. He said he understands and said that the director will give me a refund. Then for 3 weeks straight karl kept saying he forgot to tell the director. Then I found him. And the director said I will get banned if i got a refund. Then I questioned him as karl said i could. Then the director explained i can transfer money on my account but I can not get actual cash back. Then I was wtf Karl? Karl was like Whoops!! And so i thought about it for 8 months and finally got my money back. So I am no longer allowed back. But it was their fault for selling me a course and not letting me do it.
