Obama strikes back with clear messages on the failures of Bush and McCain.

I must add this is refreashing after Kerry in 2004 who ignored the attacks, and couldn't seem to get his softball message out from the choking smoke of his adversaries.

It sounds like you're finally admitting Kerry wasn't cut from the cloth needed to lead this country.

Congratulations on your new-found clarity on this issue.

No more "voter fraud" cries then?

Sadly, we will never know how Kerry would have done. We just have to live with the abysmal failures of the retard you voted for, twice I might add. God knows how long this damage will take to undo but I guess we will find out.

That's not what it sounds like he's saying to me, Jack.

Just because Kerry was a disappointment, that doesn't mean he wasn't a better choice than bush.

Sad you equate the ability to act in front of cameras to that of intelligent decision making which is what we need in a leader.

No wonder you worship Ronnie the former actor. You really are *that* shallow.

Communication, well MASS communication *used* to be a fairly minor part of leadership. And people wonder why we don't have any real statesmen anymore? Jack and his ilk are the reason.

Yeah...I was wayyyyy out there with 63 million other Americans

Don't you mean "The Great Communicator"...one of the greatest presidents the nation has ever had?

Yes, he is worthy of worship, and no, it isn't shallow.

It would be interesting to find out exactly what your problem with him is....

I'm not even sure why you have identified yourself as a conservative in the past...

Yeah. I was impressed. Obama didnt mess around. He went straight for Bush's weaknesses and shined a BIG light on them.

Good stuff and thanks for posting. You have hit on the reason why Obama is doing so well and frustrates the "big lie" and "hate machine" of the right. Post election analysis of the Kerry campaign said his inability or unwillingness to "mix it up" and address the attacks was a big reason his campaign didn't go well. He thought it best to maintain a "high road" but to most voters that translated to an aloofness or weakness in not hitting back at detractors.

Obama answers back and calls out the detractors as your clip has shown. He also does it with a class and rational approach that uses the facts and rationality to defuse the fear mongering and hate rhetoric.

You're correct about referencing Kerry -- it's where his campaign went wrong and has nothing to do at all whether Kerry would have made a good president.

Regards,

-L8

L8addition: it's also fun to see folks try to off-road this thread with the same tactics that Obama refutes in his statement. Cool! And all in real-time.

Yeah....and then there's always what James Carville said (which carries more weight) that Kerry never had a coherent message to begin with and that "anybody but Bush" is not a campaign platform.

You kind of left that out.......and yes, it has very much to do with what kind of president he would have been.

People chose Bush because at least they KNEW where he stood, and would stand. You're going to have to accept that some day.

Jack

... "anybody but Bush" is not a campaign platform.

~~ Not a platform but the irony is Bush has proven to all of us how correct Kerry was. It bears repeating since it it's some thing you may never live down.

... You kind of left that out.......and yes, it has very much to do with what kind of president he would have been.

~~ Nope ... wrong again! President he MAY have been. Bush like many other presidents ran on a platform he never installed ... he's not the kind of president he said he was going to be.

... People chose Bush because at least they KNEW where he stood, and would stand. You're going to have to accept that some day.

~~ I will ... the day after you accept what a brain dead fuck up Bush truly is

PS- Jack "Speaking the truth is not a "tactic", it's a tool, so I use it."

~~ What a crock of crap ... only when it suits you, you are much more comfortable using your "bull shit tool". The fact you cannot admit to this plain fact proves my point LOL Get real Jack; look around ... you are not at a Mortgage Monkey Convention. LOL LOL

A) Kerry LOST to Bush

B) The word is "something", not "some thing". Also, what is "it it's"?

Posting while drunk is unadvised.

No ... you only make comments like "I only explain to those having the capacity to understand." when you have lost the game.

One more time ... from the top ... and this time with feeling.K? LOL LOL :-7 ...

Obama gives the REAL straight talk and Bush lies through his teeth. (Fact)

Kerry lost the election but his point as to "anyone but Bush" given Bush’s track record, was and is most insightful. (Fact!!)

And ... What kind of President Kerry could or would have been ... pure conjecture (not fact).

Sorry to slap you down again Jack ... LOL LOL If only you were smarter …

Sorry to have to bring you back to "loserville" with the resounding thud Jack … but you previously stated ...
"People chose Bush because at least they KNEW where he stood" ... Kerry is NOT the topic

~ What the people believed when they voted for Bush is not what they got, or are receiving today ... what part of approval ratings below the "Mendoza Line" don't you quite understand Jack? LOL LOL (are you sure you're smarter ... I'm not getting that impression)

~ And you'll need to come to grips with this simple reality someday ... or as you succinctly stated "You're going to have to accept that some day". Until then Jack ... dream on ... dream on ... dream on LOL

PS- See Jack … my preceding post is insightfull, correct, truthful, slapped you upside the head, marked you a looser for the umpteenth time … and above all … very funny LOL LOL

As to my second point, on your path to "funny" … you have a long long way to go sonny, but please take my advise and don't give up your day job for a career in Stand Up LOL

The thing that has the republicans going nuts is that Obama delivers his messages swiftly, clearly, with an edge that cuts through their foggy, often sanctimonius spin. Obama does not get angry or mean; they can't stand that he won't come down to the sewer OR be a wimp.

Huckaby's freudian yesterday slip only expresses what they think it will take to beat this man, in an cowardly reference to evoke images of MLK and RFK. These pigs at the dry trough are scrambling to find some water without offending the past GOP rainmaker, Bush43.

Eventually they all begin the demolition phase before party and probably history reconstruction that blames the democrats.

What is the message that Obama delivers so clearly?

Please educate us on ths matter. None of the three possible winners will speak to the real problems; i.e., invasion of the barbarians from the South, the gross energy problem that could be solved with an exucutive order halting or arresting the enviro-fascists; and the trade imbalance/outsourcing that is reducing the dollar to the level of the Peso.

Here's what i get from Obama-Speak:

-He's the candidate that holds the record for being the MOST far-left of all the elected reps-Senate or House.

-He's a vetted Black Theology Marxist; his associates are and have been for decades in the eponymous anti-American activists camp.

- He proudly, and stupidly, would go belly-up to the ME tyrants; as if he hallucinates that the poor maligned Arab sheiks have been victims.

-He would certainly raise taxes, across the board.

Why would anyone support a known Communist who has been working for the destruction of our system?

Perhaps you are like the multitude of brain-dead women out there; hysterically wetting your pants over every speech he gives.

Take a cold shower already.

What he communicates, he communicates clearly, in an adult fashion, often with little rhetoric. It's very refreshing.

That alone is worth something more than blithe dissmissal.
