"Weird overnight experience at an AAMP"

I scheduled the last appointment with one of an indy RA last night. I did not get there till 11:00 pm and parking was rather difficult to find at that aparment complex. When I called the RA, she told me that since it was late, why don't I parked in the garage. This was a trilevel townhome and I could walked up directly. Half way through my time with her, all of a sudden everything went dark. Apparently there was a power outage. This was when things became awkward, it was late at night, I can't leave because the garage won't open, and the RA was uncomfortable being alone with a stranger in the dark. We couldn't find any candles in the place so all we had was the light from our cell phone. At this point, the RA was no longer in the mood and decided to stop my session. We had to set in the dark to wait for the power to come back up. Since she doesn't really speak English, chit chat is out of the question. She did not feel comfortable going to sleep with me being in the apartment, so she had to wait up with me. I had to sit silently with her till 5 am when the power finally came back up. This was not my first overnight experience in an AAMP, but definitely the most bizarre and unenjoyable one.

Just an FYI, all garage door openers have a lever you can pull so that you can open the garage door by hand ...... in case the power goes out. I'm just sayin' ....

Yes I have cousins and they are all chicks. Want me to set you up?

Cool, another crazy story. Where's AMPFan to discredit this one?

AMPFan has been to that AAMP, 153 times over the course of the past 11 years. He says that this AAMP has solar panels and diesel generators so it wouldn't matter if the power went out because they have backup. This story must not be true because if the power went out (which it didn't) they could switch to solar or turn on the generator and he could easily get his car out! Besides AMPFan went to PG&Es website and called them up and there were no reported power outages last night. Also based on his own experience the RA who he had known for 15 years would be more than happy to spend the night with a client so she wouldn't have to be alone in the dark. LOL

I was wondering how you know it was same AAMP that AMPFan has visited before. And were you talking about the RA AMPFan had known for 15 years or the one the OP had visited? The OP did not mention in his post which AAMP he visited (said RA was indy) and which RA he saw. Did you find out by inbox?

And commercial garage door openers have the emergency release lever also? How about the ones that swing out/in or the ones that extends on a track. The garage door at home has that emergency release lever but it is an overhead one.

LMAO! No clue about which type of garage doors they had at this AAMP though, but AMPFan would know for sure.

Oh come on. He probably saw AMPFan there. AMPFan is easy to spot. Not everyone has trumpets projecting from both temples and a green face.

Right. A Manual over-ride in case of situations like this. Imagine if the power went out during the elevator ride.

While that is the case, it would be hard to find the release lever and crank if there was no light.

Hi FirmWorm. The standard release mechanism is simply one pull of a string or wire, then the doors are easily and manually opened. No crank is needed and the (Firm)Worm gear is no longer controlling the door(s). Even in the dark or subdued light, the wire can be found and release mechanism activated.

Sorry, I had forgotten that this took place in a townhouse, which presumably had a regular garage door. I was thinking it was at an apartment with a large commercial door. If it was a regular garage door, then yes, the original poster is an idiot.

Probably doesn't apply in this case, but what if it's a detached garage? I knew there's usually a manual lever, but I'm asking because I have a detached garage now and never thought about needing to open it with no power.

Look at the bright side, it could be worse. At least be glad you aren't married and was expected to be home

Maybe you could have offered to go sleep inside your car so she could lock her door and sleep?

I assumed since the deal was not finalized an appropriate arrangement was reached to fairly compensate both parties?

This happened in a partial way while visiting a ATF. Walked out the door when the a couple blocks lost power, freakin spooky with the sound of cars on a dark street. She phoned me to get my ass back to her room and I stayed overnight to keep her and roommate company. No action, but just being a gentleman.

You should have only agreed to stay if she would let you sleep next to her with your dick inside her. Or all the girls sleeping in the bed naked with you.
