So heres the deal, im letting my hair grow out after 3 years of using clippers to shave my own head...havent been to a haircutting place in 3+years, so i go to the Supercuts that i used to go toand the haircutting rates were way higher that i can remember, $17 +tip for just trimming the sides and back!?!?!

Got me thinking about previous threads about an actual beautician haircut and a nice massage afterwards that wouldnt be much more than the damn Supercut raping...happy ending not super important, neck, scalp and face massage would be

ymmv, i speak japanese so we connected a little. she might not do this to everyone so try this out. tell her you are worried about your thinning hair and want to know ways to prevent this, shell tell you about scalp massaging during the shower, act dumb and ask her to show you. for me she shampooed after the cut, maybe because i showered prior to going there. this is important because it gives the two of you time to talk about these thinning worries you're having.

DUDE, this scalp massage is AMAZING, i swear i almost passed out and my eyes were slightly flickering. incredible sensation. the neck and shoulder massage after the shampoo at the chair was pretty good too.

i honestly didn't feel her for most of the time. she was not a looker, hair cut was meh, conversation was long winded and dry. i just wanted to get the cut over with and get out. that is until i got that scalp massage. now im seriously thinking if i should go back to my regular stylist or go back to her.

I'm not using either one at the moment. For a haircut I go to Imaging Hair 5655 Snell Av, San Jose 227-8828. Kathy does a great razor cut for $11. But I have had two other cutters clip my hair, all have been satisfactory.

My AMP just closed, so I am now back in the hunt for the elusive Haircut/Massage combination.
