There are two chinatown tamps currently advertising on CL, one in therapeutic services, the other in adult services. One advertises $40 an hour for full body massage but offers a 90 minute "special massage" for $100. The other (on their website) advertises full body massage at $45 per hour and a one hour "special massage" for $100. Does anyone have knowledge or experience with these places? It sounds like the HE is included in the price, which would be highly appealing to me as haggling over the price at the moment of truth is a real mood killer. On the other hand, maybe the special massage is something else entirely.

   As fas as I can tell, they are NOT the same place -- different addresses, different phone numbers, different hours, different staff, different services offered.

They are quite close to each other, however.

The Maysun on Grant might be the same place as the Maysun on Spofford. As in, connected.

I walked in late last night (11 PM) just to feel the place out. There was one RA on duty who offered to give me a half hour massage before closing. She was not bad looking at all but I declined the offer. I asked her what was special about the special massage and she said it's a medical massage, they'll pay special attention to places of pain, injury, and such. That's a big price jump if you ask me (from $45 to $100) when the regular massage is supposed to be therapeutic to begin with.

There are two establishments in the same building. 737A, which is Golia Beauty Center, and 737B, which is May Sun. May Sun was closed and had a price list in their window for haircuts and such but no mention of massage services, which they advertise on CL. I would think both businesses are under the same umbrella, however they advertise different price lists in their CL ads.

Haircuts are 7$ at May Sun. I may go by sometime for a haircut just to feel the place out some more, though I doubt either place is what I'm looking for.

If you're looking for a HE with no discussion of price, I recommend Ocean on Kearny. $45 provides a one-hour massage and in my experience the tip has never been discussed. I always give $60 and have never gotten any complaints from any of the girls there. All are recommended but Amy is my favorite. Treat her nicely! Inbox me if you want more details. Thanks magicalhands. I'm aware of ocean and it's exactly the kind of place I want to avoid. It's nice if there's really no discussion of price, but the expected tip seems to be $60 and to me that is too high a price for the service actually provided. That's why I'm looking for a hidden Chinatown gem, off the beaten path, where I could tip $30 or $40 and have it be appreciated.

Actually I understand that most customers probably do only tip $40 there. I find that the extra $20 goes a long way towards a happier experience for all since they know me there.

   I've been to Golia a few times and its pretty good. Its not fs but there is an he. If you're looking for fs in chinatown try the Double Dragon on waverly which is an alleyway in between grant and stockton. Its about a block away from golia to the west. I've never been to the Double Dragon but I met an girl at another amp who used to work there and she said it was fs. And if you go to Double Dragon let me know how it is.
