You know, I do ok but my day job could certainly pay better. Same could be said for most everyone. I just always get irritated by the stance of "this recession is making it tough for me, a native that was born & educated here, and speaks the language fluently, so I think that someone making their way in a foreign country, that doesn't have a command of the language or many other employment opportunities, owes it to me to cut her salary since I like her an awful lot & my salary isn't cutting it."

Personally, I just always think that entire arguement could be shortended to "my salary isn't cutting it." That is how it works, ya know.
