"Parking reminder when you session"

Hello RB brothers. I wanted to make a post to remind you all to be careful of where you park during your next sessions, whether it be on the street or a lot. This would be especially true in SF as many places , especially downtown have tow away zones at certain hours.

I recently went to a TAMP and halfway through the session realized that I was so excited for the massage that I forgot to check for the parking signs on the street. This seriously ruined my session as I was halfway through and lying there butt naked and oiled up and couldn't just get up to go check my car. LOL. Luckily my car was fine and hadn't been towed away. Imagine explaining that to your SO...

so this is just a friendly reminder for everyone to pay attention to where you park and do all the other little things to make sure your session is truly worry and stress free.

Thanks for the concern but I'm quite certain that my family vehicle won't be towed...

excellent idea red. no more $10.00 rolls of quarters for meters, no more $65.00 ticket worries, no more madly searching for parking when you're 5 minutes late (too small, handicapped, meter, private tow away, street cleaning etc). sunset, richmond, chinatown, SOMA, FD...curbside, in front everywhere!

I have a (perhaps stupid) habit of parking a little bit away from my destination and walking the rest of the way. Anyone else do this?

Anyway, not long ago I was headed to a session and noticed a nice looking building across the street. It did not appear to be occupied based on a total of 2 cars in the lot. All entrances had a simple linked chain across them, save one. I drove in and parked. I returned to my car after, and those two car were gone and the last chain was up and padlocked. Just me with no way out... no visible phone numbers to call or anything. After a few moments of panic, I spotted two young teen girls walking by and asked if they would help me (they would not - pervert alert! Thanks alot).

I drove up to each would-be exit and tested how lax each chain was, decided on the loosest, and eased the car a bit at a time, at least lifting when I could reach and drive simultaneously, and made it through. Any tighter and I would have been stuck. Amazingly, I am only dealing with a series of small scratches on the front hood (nowhere else) and those have mostly buffed out.

What an idiot!

Yes, I do the same. I always park at least a couple blocks away. Never where they tell us to park, if they do. I always look for the parking signs as I would have a tough time explaining the ticket to the SO.

You need to lighten up my friend. When you are with an RA, you should forget about the car. So what if it gets towed. Just means fewer sessions in the future. As for the SO, just learn to get some stories ready for those occasions.

I got a car towed once. It's something you don't want to experience. Tow lot operators are one step above debt collectors. I felt like I walked into an the Northern California version of the film deliverance with rabid pit bulls, rusty chain link fences, and inbred mother fuckers that hold your car hostage for every nickel and dime that you can that they can think take out of you.

Good suggestion, I sometimes get so fixated just going to the store that I forget where the car is, nevermind the state of mind to visit an RA \-)

I too try to park away from the address and in a general parking area ...like the last time she was in a hotel, parked in the restaurant next door.

Two more tidbits, be REALLY careful is when you go into those large complexes and make sure you don't park in a resident spot or you can find your car gone after your done. Also, make a careful note exactly where you parked in those huge nameless, faceless complexes as all the buildings look the same after a while.

Be safe.

One time, I was running late to an appointment and grabbed a spot that looked available. It was around 10:30 at night and I figured "what are the odds of someone showing up at this hour?"

When I came out of my session at around 11:30 there was a very kind note on my car asking me to check for a number on the stall before parking. Sure enough, there was one and I had missed it. I felt bad, especially after the nice note. So, I wrote a sincere apology and stuck the note on the post next to where I was parked. I felt a little lucky that night.

I have since learned that many of the PO's know the number of the space saved for their unit and many times it is avaiable, you just have to ask! Assuming of course, the PO speaks decent engrish.

You got lucky, big time! That situation sounded like it was f'd and you got away with it. Count your blessings and pray you don't make that same mistake again and come out with serious consequences.

I had a similar experience. The PO did not tell me where to park. Now I always asks the PO detail info re parking to reduce the anxiety during the session!
