"Addiction to this hobby?"
 
   Hello Fellow RBer's,

Just wanted to say that I think I may have an addiction to this hobby. I would tell myself that this is the last one over and over again.

I can quit the drinking, the cigarettes, the drugs cold turkey, but it always seems like I'm going back to getting that massage.

I know I can quit, but shit, I don't want to quit. I love this hobby.

The suspense of seeing if the end will go happy or not. Seeking if the girl is a bait and switch or a hottie.


I spend about 240-400 a month. How much do you guys spend a month on this hobby?

For me it's a wonderful addiction, the challenge of visiting the latest and hottest RA, the excitement of what is behind the door and enjoying the hour(s) of pleasure. I limit my hobby to 2x/month and stick to $2 RA with good reviews. The best part, no strings,emotional attachments, committments, headaches with RA

I gotta keep the hobby at bay for financial reasons. $200/ month is my max. The hard part is liking a particular RA and wanting to see her again and again. I do like the variety, but when you find someone that turns all your buttons on, it's hard to go elsewhere.

This site can be addicting too. I find myself looking at the forum at least 10x a day. I check out the International forum too. Then, I also look at new ads frequently.

   Seriously, it's hard to not go back after a session of your favorite RA. I use to spend $200/month but dam. It's so hard. I'm anxiously waiting to go back.

I don't think $200/month will do for me lol.

I need me some more asian punani. haha

   I was just about to start a thread in the opposite direction. I'm tired of the B&S, tired of PO's who don't speak English, tired of wandering about apartment complexes before the appointment and skulking around afterwards trying to hide my bottle of Kirkland water.

I'm tired of Plan B, C, et al. I don't like to play the TAMP game, especially after some of the stories I've read on this forum.

I'm tired of girls who don't match up to the photos. I'm tired of shills, owners, and lapdogs peddling RAs that I wouldn't see if they were free.

I'm tired of RAs who push me out early because they're booked back to back, or front to back, as it were.

I'm tired of fake breasts, fake lips, and fake pleasantries. I'm tired of tripping over the other guy's shoes in the foyer, tired of the RA peeking out her bedroom door to see if it's safe to take a shower.

In the last 6 months or so, I've given up the variety and uncertainty for a couple of RAs who are under the radar, answer their own phones, only see regulars, and give me a better session than I would get from a first-time anonymous encounter with some supermodel wannabe who's afraid to get her hair wet in the shower.

You guys can have your "Q's Top Tier" girls. My spending is way down and I'm having a much better time than I did in the hit-or-miss world of searching for fresh meat. I have finally managed to tailor this activity to meet my needs, and when these two RAs are gone, I'll probably hang up the hobby phone for good.

I was thinking more like............bored!, does that make me cured/unaddicted??

You brought up some very interesting comments as to what is 'wrong' with the game.

I too have found a few women of interest and tend to stick with the good solid orgs, but every once in awhile I like to meet new to me women. Ooops!!, guess I'm still addicted.....,but not as much.

   At $240 to $400 or once or twice a month means you're not addicted to the hobby or even a real player.

I'm in for $2k a month give or take. I would say $1k a month is on the addiction side or if you can't take off a couple months or be without hobbying for 6 months to a year.

   Most who post here and regularly visit RA's are "addicted" to one degree or another. It is hard to stop for all the reasons you cited. But at 240-400 a month you aren't really in bad shape. I have been waaaayyyy north of that for years. Once you start, its really hard to stop unless you get into a relationship with someone who really charges your engine, and then its probably only a temporary stop. Set some limits for yourself and live by them; that's probably the best you can hope for. Or move to South Dakota.

   I try to avoid as much as possible by calling after work. In most cases, the person is booked and .2 saved . I only take it on if I happen to get lucky. This is a stupid method but working method for access control.

I checked my mint.com account for the "hobby" category and its getting to 28K and I am not in my 40s yet. Could have got a nice car in that but I think this was a better use.

And I thought it was just me and the full moon. Already spent $600.00 on the "hobby" this week!
My "goal" is to keep it at 800.00 a month or lower but the flesh is week and the bank account full. But still that's a pretty nice car payment up in cum!

I don't have any car payments or debt so i keep it at around $500 per month.

In past years in economic up cycles, i often spent more because there was more (variety) upside to income.

Now, we are experiencing downside, and in the last year have spent on average $200-400 max. Plus, there just isn't enough hotties these days, so i spend it on the non-asian escorts.

Fact is, this should be a hobby, though it's a vice too, and should be treated in moderation.

Addiction is when it prevents you from doing normal things in life.

If it doesn't, then it's just mongering, or selfish entertainment, like a hobby is.

btw, as prices drop in the next year or two, this too, will become a deflating "commodity" or service.

The same way it is in parts of Asia, Latin America, South America, Amsterdam, Holland, Germany etc.
