The men who seek these women are usually the men who think they can save and rehabilitate these women and this goal doesn't make for a healthy relationship. Men revere these women when they are paid sex workers but shun them socially, and with any attempt at a social relationship men are always suspicious they are having sex with other men while pretending to be in an exclusive relationship. Men report that sex with former sex workers is a complete flop aggravated by these suspicions. For the very few women who sustain a long term relationship, sex was reported to be always better with their prior (or present) customers, and not their husband or supposed significant other. These women live concerned that their former life might be disclosed as there is still a great stigma against prostitution, especially with women who have never been sex workers.
