OVERVIEW OF KEY LOUNGE OFFERINGS

Consider this a cyber meet & greet for people interested in the hobby to interact and exchange ideas. With the anonymity of the internet we can engage in an open discussion on just about anything, no matter how sensitive or embarrassing the subject may be. But this same anonymity can lead to comments with little credibility or sincerity. While cyber friendships can be formed, so can cyber enemies. Do your battles outside the Lounge, using your inbox if you want to fight with someone about something.

Mixers (mini meet & greets, impromptu social gatherings)

We invite mixer planners to post that there is an upcoming mixer (without specific date and place details) and who the contact person is for those who would like to be invited. The notice can be about events in the Sacramento or anywhere else in the State. There are a lot of us “mixer whores” in the Sac area that will travel all over the state for a good party.

While planners do a good job in screening people to ensure the people attending are legitimate hobbyist and providers, unless people are known drama starters, a few assholes may slip in. There are people charged with maintaining security that can deal with undesirable behavior.

Merely hanging out in a social setting with people who are known or suspected to have engaged in acts of prostitution is not illegal and is covered by the right to freedom of association/assembly. Screening is done not so acts of prostitution can occur, but to avoid people who are anti the hobby. We attend to have a good time and don’t need to be confronted with negative agendas.

Meet & Greets may have similar screening as the larger mixers, but smaller in scale.

Social gatherings at clubs, sports bars, picnics, or getting up a group to attend an event open to the general public, such as concerts, ski trips, tourist attractions, etc. can be discussed and arranged by initiating topic threads about an activity. These publicly announced and publicly discussed events are open to anyone who can read topics in the Lounge. So be discreet in what you say or do when attending them.

People in the Lounge vary in their need for privacy and security. Also people have different comfort levels when it comes to meeting in public. If these types of activities are not for you, that’s ok, just don’t bore us with your reasons about why other people shouldn’t participate, we are not paying attention to you.

It’s nice to put a face to the handles you have come to know on the discussion boards at RB and to meet people you might have an interest in getting to know better. If your only reason for attending is to immediately get laid, you should keep your ass at home or go somewhere else.

Photo shoots

The lounge is not a boy’s locker room; ladies are welcome and a joy to see in the Lounge. Many of the providers come into the Lounge to participate in discussions which is much appreciated.

Ladies posting pictures is a good way for them to increase their visibility (we like eye candy). Of course their motivation is often to increase business, duh. However, no advertising or contact information is to be included in a picture thread. MyRedBook has made it easy to get provider ad and review information by clicking on the head icon that appears in every post.

Providers when posting picture threads please give some thought to the thread title and text included with your hot, sexy pics. Think how guys in a club who come up to you and immediately say, “your place or mine” or “wana fuck?” is a turn off. We all know we want to do it, but at least we pretend that it’s not the only thing we are interested in.

In order to be fair to ladies interested in posting their pics and not have the Lounge overwhelmed with picture threads, all the pics of a provider is to be posted in the current picture thread she posted. Until that thread locks do not start another picture thread. (Note: Let’s not get hung up on whether the provider responds in her thread to posters rather than giving thanks via inbox. Some people like to flirt in public.)

Guys, if a lady that is not your “cup of tea” posts a pic, move on to one that better meets your interest. Like the old saying, if you don’t have anything nice to say, STFU. Lapdogs according to RB term and acronyms means, “Person who worships providers to excess.” http://forum.myredbook.com/dcforum2/DCForumID15/2.html Guys flirting and making those complimentary comments, may be just their way of creating a connection so that their session goes better. They have a right to approach the hobby as they choose. Does that make them a lapdog? Who cares!

Off-topic posts.

Topics which are of marginal value or outside the intent of specific forums can be posted in the Lounge. However, we don’t want to get into discussing politics and religion here, which are potential sources of contention and drama. Try Community Hall: Politics, world affairs, Freedom Hall: Spin Central, Babel On: Symbiotic spirituality sanctuary.

If you want to get down rude and crude, there are forums for that; we will let you find them on your own.

Hobbyists, if you have a bad experience with a provider, post it in the Sacramento Hobbyists or Neighborhood Watch forums.

Providers we strongly urge you to check Pink Book, every time you sign into RB. Your sisters are there to help you to stay safe.
