"Nice Netbook Deal!"

I know you've all missed me! It's been awhile since I've posted but do have a very nice system I've recently just completely refurbished. I often get requests for these ultraportable netbooks and for my taste most are underpowered, so I've done my usual magic and made this one a bit beefier particularly in the hard drive size and speed area. About 2.5lbs and you can slip this one into a coat pocket. I just love the clarity and definition on the screen - one of the best I've seen for a system this size. I've only got one so first come first served! Happy to show it to you in the Sacramento area - just drop me an inbox if you're interested.

Price $250

Cosmetically it's very much like new. It's the Acer Aspire One Black Netbook. It's a little over a year old (out of warranty but I do support all the systems I rebuild) but in superb working condition - this one comes with loads of upgrades and extra software... fresh software install - looks and feels brand new - the upgraded internal storage is a SCREAMING FAST 7200rpm 250Gig hard disk (very hard to find in systems this small.) Featherweight and so easy to tote between stops for the busy traveler.

*1.6Ghz Atom processor
*9" Ultrasharp Hi-Res Screen
* 802b/g built-in wireless (internet)
*1Gig RAM memory
*250Gig 7200rpm Hard Drive
*Webcam built in
*Microphone/Stereo Sound built in
*SD Memory Card reader/writer built in
*XD Card reader/writer built in
*Wireless Travel Mouse
*9" SoftSleeve
*New Kensington lightweight min-AC power adapter
*Solid and lasting peforming battery

*Windows XP Home SP3 with all patches - licensed and activated
*Microsoft Office 2007 (Enterprise version) - licensed and activated

INBOX me if interested! This one won't last

Actually my first thought wasn't "Office" typically what I hear is "take that off and what's the price?" So really it was the 7200rpm 250Gig drive, and the other extras, but to answer your question, yes this system comes with licensed registration disks and keys as I am a licensed Microsoft VAR. Odds are I'll end up taking it off though and dropping the price comparably.

So just a recap who I am and why I post here - I've been offering my systems on RB for quite awhile, mostly in the private forums. The mods know I do this, I keep it to a minimum, they know that I am always going the extra mile to help an RB member with their systems issues even when I've never seen a nickel from it. I've done enough "I'll catch up with you on that sweetie" work for providers that have never caught up with me that I wish I could claim as tax write offs.

Anyway, I've never claimed to offer the "cheapest" systems. No doubt you can hop on over to Craigslist and find something really sweet and cheap. You can even haggle to your heart's content over there. I haven't built my reputation on nor do I or will I compete based on beating anyone's price.

When I refurbish systems I customize them and I offer my buyers a reliable local point of contact for not only the integrity of the system but also service and support. I've helped many a hobbyist and provider when the Geek Squad couldn't. Do I always answer my phone when it rings at midnight? No I don't but I've gotten several RB brothers and sisters out of jams supporting not only the systems I've rebuilt and sold here but also systems I haven't. One point of priceless value is the comfort knowing that you can hand over a distressed system to me with all of that "God I don't want anyone to see what's on this computer!" stuff and you know that you'll have my confidence and discretion because I'm one of you and I understand.

So bottom line. I'm not trying to scam anyone. I've been on RB too long and know too many people here to risk ruining my reputation over a few measly $. Believe me I make very little on these systems after all the dust settles.

I'll just state the obvious. Don't buy it from me if you can do better somewhere else and price is all that matters. If you want the cheapest possible thing going then for sure go with Fry's... or if you like I can point you to a dozen other online sources that will ALWAYS beat me on price - many times I've referred people to these sources when the right thing for them was a system that I couldn't provide. It will always be that way.

Thanks to those of you who've trusted me in the past and I hope to continue to provide you reasons to continue to honor me with your patronage.

I think Archer got down to the matter at hand, bottom lined some things....
In the process he shut down a few folks with their unnecessary and untrue comments!! DAMMIT THAT'S SEXY AS HELL!! Hey Archer baby, when you get a minute could you please inbox me if you think you can help. I'm in need of a Toshiba laptop refurbished 'like new" with all the "bells and whistles". If you still have the netbook I may also be interested in it.
Thanks bunches,

Hey sweetie, thanks for the note, sometimes I get a bit passionate about what I do ... cause it's ... what I do!!!!

This netbook sold soon after I posted, sorry. I do have a nice Sony that is on the bench with really loads of bells and whistles - and I'm talking LOTS of bells and whistles... it's an ultraportable that is very light but it's not a netbook. If your heart is set a Toshiba I can keep my eyes out for one. I'll drop you an inbox.

Thanks for thinking about me!
