"Free photo sharing site suggestion?"
 
   I've got about 14GBs of G rated photos that I would like to upload to a site and give others the password so they could download the ones they want. It would be nice if it were a site designed for photo sharing so they could be neatly arranged in albums with thumbnails but any site that allows storing that many pics in folders would do.

I tried SnapFish but others had to pay to download full size photos. I'm looking for free.

I used that one plenty of times!

   Picasa Web Albums will give you 10.24 gigs for free, and no restriction on size of images. You can make images public, semi-private with a long ass http address, or "sign in" required.

Download Picasa and have the easiest upload ever. (Picasa will only catalog every pic on your computer, not move it.)

   Another vote for picasa, which is part of the google site. Like previous poster said, you can upload via the PC software that you download for free. Or you can upload using the web interface. With the amount of files you have, it is probably easier with the software.

I thought about Picasa but if you read their EULA you basically give them the right to use your photos for whatever purpose they want forever with no way to stop them.

So if someone at Google thought my granddaughter was cute they could take her picture and use it in their advertising or whatever and I would have no way to stop them. I'm not a lawyer so I don't know what rights my daughter might have to stop them since she didn't make any such agreement with them but I really don't want to give them unlimited rights to any pictures I might post to their site.

Who knows. Someday I might take a picture with some real commercial value and I wouldn't want them to have unlimited use of it.
