You can setup an appointment and when you show up and the lady does not match the picture, tell her that it is not cool to do things like that and then leave making sure to let her know she loses business by using fake pictures.

Some one is calling them, seeing them, and paying them.

Or else they would not be doing it.

Simple fukn common sense. Alert the ad, post in NW...something to let the brothers know.

Doing like Test suggests: calling her, scheduling an appointment and showing up, then chastising her for using fake pictures and admonishing her, telling her she'll lose business....???? WTF is that? That's a sure fire way to get jumped by a good ol' POGPIC.

Might as well show up, slide the fukn money under the door and go beat off. At least you'll get your nut....

Providers posting fake pics are doing it for ONE reason: to deceive. Don't be Captain Save-a-ho and try to counsel them....burn them!

“~We do ask that you report all fake pictures in Neighborhood Watch and snapshot the ads with links to the stolen pictures. This documents the incident, should the person upload different pics later on, or should the ad get deleted.”

“~If you want to split hairs, there is a difference between fake pics which are representative of the person (intent is privacy), versus fake pics which are totally misleading (intent is fraud). However for that determination you need to see them in person, or check the reviews for the reviewer's opinion of the pictures vs actual.”

The simple and yet understated comments from HS continue to amaze! I voted other as the above is how I choose to deal with the fake issue. Trying help others with this simple information may save someone a rob or piss poor experience.

Alerting the ad will do nothing as RED has not intervened in this situation prior. It is so prevalent that half if not more of the ads would be suspect.

I laugh my ass off at the poor suckers, but the truth is only some of them will get suckered, and some will get their brains fucked out. Still others might get their asses kicked, but that's the nature of the hobby. Their risk is inversely proportional to the amount of research they do. The truth is also that those of us that post in the forums make up a very small percentage of number of people that peruse the classifieds. The proliferation of fake pics has a very simple explanation, it works, for the type of people who use them, and the manner in which they are used.

How much freedom do you want to trade for your security? If RB somehow found a way to lock down the classifieds and prevent fake pics, you can pretty much guarantee there would be no surprises, or hidden gems. Maybe we should lock down the internet so you can't watch porn, or learn how to build a spud launcher, or broadcast pirate TV!

Does that sound too Libertarian to you?
