The tank is filled with a few pacu, red devils, convicts, jack dempsey's, a flowering horn, an oscar and a few others I forget the names of... They fight daily, and I know I will be netting some dead fish out soon... :(
The fish tank is a good reminder of how life is,
survival of the fittest.. Oh and cookie the guy from (gold grills plus)
came by earlier to size the pacu's up being they have little teeth.

Yea, that is not a safe mix and the tank is over crowded for the size that they will grow to.

But it is a nice looking set up and they are fun to watch. But netting dead ones sucks.

as soon as those red devils get big enough you will come home one day and the other fish will be well dead meat, there small now but wait a year and one will take over the entire tank that's what mine did and i was so sad he killed all the others in a matter of a few hours. these were them when they were babies now there all gone

Beautiful tank, JazzyJazelle! !!

There's nothing like feeling akin to God
than keeping life alive within a closed space.

Your tank is beautiful but... Oscar will devour
everyone unless you make regular trips for feeders.

One of my dreams was to become an ichthyologist
and then I met my last husband who raised prized
fish and aspirations flew out the door! !!

Still, I love my fish (and am starting small).

   Nice fish! I only see one African...based on what I can see in the pics. Looks like a Peacock or a Pseudotropheus. I wouldn't worry about the Red Devils. I'd be more concerned about the Pacus beating the crap out of the African and the Red Devils. If you start seeing shredded and nipped tails, take out the weaker fish or you will come home to dead ones.

Hard to tell from the pic, but is that a 48" tank...60 gallons? If so you will probably be fine for awhile but the Pacus and Oscar could outgrow the space.

If you ever decide to go saltwater shoot me an inbox...I'll give you some tips.

My hat's off to your landscaping technique, great job. I see you are a fellow tang lover as well. Being an aquarium hobbyist and having worked in several stores in my youth, I see bank in that tank! Live coral's ain't cheap.

I've set up a lot of reef tanks in my time but that is a seriously top notch pro set up there..right down to the metal hallides! I've worked in stores that had less than that on their display tanks...nice F'n work!

Aqua your tank is awesome, and I just might have to drop you a inbox if I start to consider switching over to salt water. My tank is actually 180 gallons 6 by 3 by 3.... Didn't know it was so many fish lovers around here. I find it relaxing for me, and I love the way they all chase my finger around.
