Wholly shit Batman! Went off to bed early last night to find this idiotic thread has grown legs and jumped the pond.

A few observations… Yes, I may have been a bit illiterate in my posting of this escapade. Spelling and context which I am normally good at, went a little off course.

In short.
1. Found ad.
2. Researched ad
3. Called up Bambi/Barbi
4. Discussed the discrepancy in advertising
5. Asked if the advertising was false, could I get the ˝ off sale!
6. Conversation ended!

I am new (Yes, Pitt I will ask next time, before I post! LOL) but just because I TOFTT does not mean that anything is underhanded or shady. I live this life, the same way I live my personal life. (with as much integrity as I can afford! )If I have a good time, I post. If bad, I post. If I run across someone that is disingenuous, I Post. This is not blackmail. While I empathise with some, its their game to play, but it is my time, efforts, energy and more importantly funds that I put on the line. Some fall for b&s ads and have a good time/experience. Most however, abhor the use of this tactic. I tend to be somewhere in the middle.

I attempted to explain the situation through inbox, but it was and is reduced to cursing and short responses if any. Then I see FG OP. As I stated in the beginning, several told me to let it lay. But chose not to. Good Bad or indifferent there it is.

1) This is much ado about nothing. No smoke, no fire, no burns.

2) Hoss is...well...a bit unpolished in his delivery of information and his "interpersonal" skiils via the boards.

3) Fable, who I do not know, does seem to seize on things from a mistaken perspective. Plenty of archives to back that up.

4) NVH likes to jump in with both feet despite his limited experience here and general lack of historical perspective and offer his opinions.

No one blackmailed anyone of anything. I've read through all of the material and that simply did not happen.

Do people try to blackmail ladies here? Yes. They generally make up a myriad of alternate handles to play their manipulation games, or in the case of a couple of well know posters, they finesse their words to later say "oh no...what I meant was".

Neither are the case here.

Let's move along. The energy should be invested in outing fake/pimp generated posts, minis, reviews, and hobbyists playing the "free reviews for free service" game.

Although the original post that FG took so much offense at contained grammatical and syntactical errors that made it somewhat difficult to grasp, all that could have been easily cleared up if she and others involved would have taken the time to inquire politely, rather than jumping to conclusions and running off to sharpen their long knives.

What I find most unfortunate here is that even after an OP cleared up the somewhat garbled meaning of Hoss's original report, there is no pubic backing down, apology or, seemingly, any attempts whatsoever to acknowledge that no blackmail or anything remotely close to it took place, only the tragedy of poor written English usage - which, btw, Hoss is not generally prone to anyhow.

Many of us here would love nothing more than to be able to fornicate with girls that look like the Barbie in question - especially at her advertised rate! However, experienced hobbyists realize that, beyond a shadow of a doubt, a large number of these gorgeous but unreviewed girls will not be the one who answers the door. Occasionally they'll be as good looking and desirable as the one pictured in the ad, but most of the time they will not. It's a huge waste of time, effort and money to show up at her doorstep at the arranged time only to find out that she's not even close to the girl's advertisement pics. Given this reality, to ask probing questions - such as the one Hoss asked - just seems like common sense.

It's kinda like buying a used car on CL: I want to know for sure that the mileage is correct and that the paperwork is in order before wasting the time to go out and see something that any fool would know enough not to buy. Plus, if you're going to show me a pic of an immaculate Lexus SC 300, in just the color that I've been searching for, I sure the fuck don't want to go out an find out that it's some beat up high-mileage pimpmobile that's all jacked up on stolen 22" rims, sporting a trashed interior and a fugly candy pink paint job. In both cases the end result should be exactly the same: A big "NO SALE!"
