"Woot.com"

A buddy of mine turned me on to this website. They sell one item per day at a very cheap price. Another buddy of mine said that they sell shit that's been on the shelf or in the warehouse for years, so the items are either old and/or wouldn't sell. Anyone here have experience ordering from this site?

   I love Woot.

But, as with all other things, it's always "buyer-beware" right?

I've purchased wine and gourmet cheesecakes from Wine Woot, and RC toys for my kids as well as cheap earbuds and PC speakers.

For me, given the wear and tear that these items see (earbuds, portable speakers and toys), buying an older (cheaper) model is often acceptable.

Oh...also Sansa Clip MP3 players...again, with my kids and their propensity to misplace or subject things to more then normal wear and tear, it just makes sense to buy cheaper versions.

So, sometimes it's shit, but sometimes you luck out with a great deal.

And I've also purchased a shirt or two from T-shirt Woot, but that's just because they're funny.

Keep your eye out for Woot-off's too.

I bought a pair of bluetooth headsets for 9.99. No complaints.

I've found some good t-shirts off the site. Beyond that, I don't know how the other stuff rates.

Woot can have good stuff at times. If you are in to good deals, keep an eye on slickdeals.net or fatwallet.com. I think slickdeals is the bomb.

In the early days of ebay many people made small fortunes by buying old warehouse items and putting then up for auction there. Just because something doesn’t sell in one place, it doesn’t mean there’s not a buyer for it somewhere. The internet brings the market to the buyer, as opposed to the buyer going to the market. What one person sees as junk may be another persons rare find.
