"Jury Trial Finally To begin OCT.1,2010"
 
What a long and horrible process....we are just about to start the jury trial part of the case ....It's been going since Aug.2009 and I was recently told it could go as long as another year!!! YUCK!!!...For those of you who remember ...thank you for you're continued support!! I'll be so glad when I can put the whole thing behind me and not constantly be reminded of all the horrible details
that come back each time I have to testify!!.....Justice almost seems like the wrong word after all this time!!.....Ill keep everybody updated with the case status!~~~XOXOXOX

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Kayla!! I have a co-worker who has a similar trial starting today as well. Hers is against a guy who molested her daughter. I'll spare you having to repeat the details of yours though. Good luck sweetie!

   Hi, I'm sorry about the long ordeal that you've had to be a part of. A few years ago, when I was a victim in a violent crime, I experienced first hand how frustrated the whole legal/justice system can make a person in the way that a case can be dragged out for literally years. In my situtation, shortly before the trial was to begin, I found out that the defendant accepted a plea bargain to a lesser charge and the trial was cancelled. It was over. This was difficult for me to accept because I didn't feel like justice had been served but of course, it's up to the DA's office to make that choice and from what I understand, settling before going to trial is usually the preferred way to settle a case.
Please prepare yourself for something like this to happen in your situation. I don't know the particulars of your case, of course, but I just want to let you know that this could possibly happen.

Thanks Sweets sorry to hear that!!! Luckily in this case a deal isn't possible....they dont deal in life sentence cases...thank God!
This is a pretty big case though...I'm one of 5 victims on this case...and the evil jerk is facing 73charges(12 of which carry life sentences)!
Even though he was already a 3time convicted registered sex offender and out amoungst society...I'm hoping this was the last time he's able to hurt someone!!

   Dang time really flies by... I remember reading something about this animal on Red book and in the news ! If he's convicted he probably get 40 years and do 32 years... Damn that's a hella long time, but considering what he did he would be better going out like the characters in the movie departed.. Kayla, good luck with your trial. How does someone like him who has been convicted three times be allowed back into society and no one expects him to commit a similar crime again? That's what's wrong with our justice system, unfortunately.
