"Craigslist Posting Criteria Changes (again)"

   GENERAL FYI

For the past few years CL has been under pressure to clean up its Erotic/Adult section and every 9-12 months they throw in a new curve to get the critics and politicians off their asses... so.. another change as of 1pm today.

You'll note on CL adult section today at about 1pm - very few ads being posted. Even those ladies who paid their $10 opening ad and wanted to simply re-post are now required to re-submit their ads for screening.. and having done so- most of them are NOT getting approved (hence so few ads posted since 1pm).

They are really really looking to covering their asses - so ALL ads must SPECIFICALLY state WHAT SERVICE they are providing! There are plenty of massage ads that are getting through.. because they are always pretty specific "I provide relaxing massages"...

For providers.. try the word Companionship in describing your services... maybe even the word "escort" will work. Photos should also be appropriate to the service your providing (that's what they are saying anyways). I can't believe that they actually are going to manually screen every ad.. I suspect they are using a program that is scanning for key words in an ad.. and if its not there.. REJECT

For hobbyist who shop off CL.. just be aware when you see very tame ads - doesn't mean your not getting FS.. just means they can't even hint at it!

It'll be interesting to see how this works out over the next few weeks.

Just curious; why the HELL would anyone want to post an ad on CL? It only causes hundreds of phone calls that are nonstop from every genre of psycho, not to mention LE problems, what sounds like a headache to even get a post up...what on earth would anyone even want to post there for when we have RB? There are more then enough people on here, and great ones at that. Why dilute your pool of awesome people with flood of slimy guys that ask to buy your dirty underwear from every day and pick them up once a week. (just one of the random calls when I unknowingly posted there in the begining, having not known anyone and known any better!)

Someone please enlighten me! I am not knocking anyone that does, I simply have gone through every possible reason someone might want to do so, and came up with nada! Men, I understand the lengths you all are willing to go to for the slightest chance of finding something even remotely special, so you have 1 "iffy" reason that you can hang on to for dear life if you want to, but ladies please, tell me something to make this sense to me!

Thank you in advance!

A lot of very normal guys (like myself) started out on CL. At first you just look and then you are amazed that you can have a beautiful women delivered to your doorstep within the hour for a relatively small fee. It is almost too good to be true for the average guy. Then you start hearing terms like 5 star and girls are linking their reviews... which leads you to discover RB where you can get intel and actually screen the fakes and flakes from the real professional providers, that opens up a whole new world. While I know CL has it's problems... I think if you write a quality, classy ad and your pricing is above average, it will bring you quality clients that might not see you if you were just on RB. I don't know the exact numbers but I would guess that a CL ad get's viewed 10x more than a RB ad... so that exposure can be a good thing if your message appeals to the clients you want while discouraging weird guys. I probably would not post my number on there, I would prescreen using email or direct the to your rb inbox.

Some years back - before CL became the virtual bait and switch capitol of the world - I too found it to be a phenomenally good happy hunting ground. Not only for P4P action, but also in the casual encounters section. Now, of course, things are substantially different and the chances of encountering bots, in the casual encounters section, and B&S artists, in the adult services section, is off the charts. People who haven't discovered RB go there for the very same reason that everyone goes there: It's the most well known free site in the world for classified ads for goods and services.

Craigslist CEO, Buckmaster was on Michael Krasny's Forum radio show in the first hour yesterday, along with some hysterical twit from some anti-trafficking group. No specific announcement was made at that time re the new changes to their ad posting policy that appear to have just come on line. However, Buckmaster stated repeatedly that it was the continuing goal of CL to eliminate all illegal use of their site. So, with the continuing pressure and public attention that they've received it isn't surprising that they've become even more stringent in their ad review process. Once they made the initial decision to police ads posted on their site, they've implicitly taken responsibility for the content that's posted there which is what put them on the slippery slope that they are now sliding down.

There are acutally alot of females that post on rb that also have ads on cl. Yeah, cl can be risky sometimes, but all sites are risky. I know alot of females that were busted off of rb and trust me rb has a bunch of wierdos on this site, like for example that imposter police officer ROBBING GIRLS! It shouldn't matter what site you post on, because please believe every site is a risk. Being an escort is a risky job, because you never know who you deal with. Not only do I use this site, I use a whole lot more. If Im in this business, why not post on all sites?

   >... and trust me rb has a bunch of wierdos on this site,

A couple of my ATFs that flew under the radar on CL in CAS had some RB hobbyist introduce them to RB. Several picked up stalkers from RB.

>like for example that imposter police officer ROBBING
>GIRLS!

That dumbass, is still around?
