"An Open Inbox For CWB Concerning the Murdered Mother"

Though I am simpathetic to the children of the murdered mother, I have to ask, since no one seems to know who this girl is, how will you get the money to the children? Also let's not assume this girl comes from a nice family - a reasonable assumption actually - and that the people who are now the guardians of the kids are unsavory people. How can we be sure the guardians won't spend our money on beer and meth? Also why should I trust you with my money CWB? No offense meant but can you dispute that that is a fair question?

These are logical questions asked by Shellback97. I don’t read any issues about the type of person the provider was as the focus is not on her but the three children.

We don’t know who it is and her handle should not be mentioned publicly. While news reports are public information the linking of real personal info to an RB handle is NOT.

We don’t know if the family knows of her RB association and how they would feel about a donation coming from the RB community. If this would be a problem, then my own thought is that the money should be given anonymously. The motivation should be to help the children and not seek gratuitous publicity.

A little more detail about who will be handling the money and the method of delivering the money and how it will be verified that the money was delivered would be helpful to many.

Also, has there been a needs assessment made? For example the children may need money to travel to family out of state or they have no immediate unmet financial need, but a trust fund investment to grow for them when they become college/trade school age would be helpful.

As stated in earlier posts, I have been in contact with a VERY well know 5 star provider who was pretty good friends with the victim. The money wont go to the family per say, it will be converted to savings bonds or a CD, in each childs name. The money will be given to the family by this provider, who herslf donated 500 to the family for the funeral. The donation, in NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM will have anything to do with RB. Hopes this answers any questions you may have.

Thanks for offering some clarifying information.

I can understand a certain reticence in disclosing more specific information such as who will be handling the money how it will be verified that the money was delivered on a public board.

Perhaps this can be shared more privately during the Gathering where the collection of money is to take place.

I get the sense from a number of people who would be inclined to contribute, but they don't know who you are or anything about you.

I know a 5 star provider and a client that both knew this girl.. Both would prefer to not have there names posted on this board with this topic. The kids are in great loving hands, there grandparents will take very good care of the kids.

The deceased led a very private life, her friends and family did not know what she did. She was paying her way through college in the hopes of quitting this line of work. The person who murdered her was most likely not a client but he was very familiar with the board. She met him through facebook but he found her on RB. My suspicions is that he was not happy about her being on RB and decided to keep her for his own.
The only bright side is that he killed himself too, so we don't have to worry about having him as our client.

The savings bonds are a great way to help for the kids college.

I agree that some type investment or long term bond in their names would be the biggest bang for the buck. If the economy ever recovers they could very well end up with a good financial boost when they are ready to inter college.
Our children are our future. Help toward a higher education is the greatest gift of all.
Then this doesn't turn into a hand out but a hand up.
Kudos CWB I believe in your sincerity, your a good and trusting brother.
