These are logical questions asked by Shellback97. I don’t read any issues about the type of person the provider was as the focus is not on her but the three children. We don’t know who it is and her handle should not be mentioned publicly. While news reports are public information the linking of real personal info to an RB handle is NOT.
We don’t know if the family knows of her RB association and how they would feel about a donation coming from the RB community. If this would be a problem, then my own thought is that the money should be given anonymously. The motivation should be to help the children and not seek gratuitous publicity.
A little more detail about who will be handling the money and the method of delivering the money and how it will be verified that the money was delivered would be helpful to many.
Also, has there been a needs assessment made? For example the children may need money to travel to family out of state or they have no immediate unmet financial need, but a trust fund investment to grow for them when they become college/trade school age would be helpful.
