Just logged in this morning to check out the forums and while perusing came across one that had an add attached. Pulled the ad up and was surprised by the new layout. While I do like the all in one lay out, and specifically the “Updated:” information, you cannot use Tineye “easily” now.

Edit: While a fix is "done" and realize that you cannot please everyone all the time, it is not sufficient to allow for ease of use. With the sheer numbers of bait and switch photos being used and the time involved in vetting each one, this just ads to the time consuming efforts to TOFTT. If the original link to the photo could be right clicked on either the main ad page or the "new" page it would help immensely. I.e. after opening the "new" page, clicking on one of the pictures would open it separately. Not a slight to RED, thanks Red for the efforts to make RB as great as we know it already is...

Hoss, I was pleased by the new layout for me the one stop shopping, (ie click on the add see all the photos/reviews etc) on page is cool. Good for me and how I utilize the ads, I hobby, post reviews, have fun.
Now you on the other hand provide a "service" to a countless number of us who depend on TOFTT and the research you and others do. What you described seems like a very reasonable request and one that I would hope they implement. The sheer numbers of B&S ads, one time posters etc. is an issue already. Anything that RB can do to help the "Hoss-lock Holmes" and others who's information and credibility we have come to rely upon is a needed and welcome addition.

I like the new picture layout...I especially liked that you can't right click and save the pictures so ladies wont be able to steal our pictures, I absolutely hate the fact that new girls come on here and try to steal pictures I've had it happen to me a numerous amount of times and it is so not fair!!...Then i figured out you can drag the picture to your computer and it will show up..so I dont see the point in having the right click disabled if you can just drag it to your computer and save the picture anyway, Maybe red can fix that!

The funny thing in all of this as there are several posts such as yours. In this age anything can be done and done quite easily. You mention (as others do) that steal photos. there are several "plug-ins" that will let you "steal" anything from a web page. While the new format is good and I like it, it henders us from verifying photos as easily as we have been accustomed to. now there are added steps in the mix. In short, if it can be thought of, it can be done.

Actually works great for me because I used a Firefox add-on to view all the full-size pics on one page anyway. And with the Tineye add-on you just right-click the full-size image and you get the info.

Whoops. I keep forgetting that the majority are still using IE as their only browser. My bad.

Firefox used for a long time and thank you...I am all good now! Seems there is a "right click enabler" add-on as well! !!!!

I love it guys, here I am really really bad with computers and even I could figure out how to copy a pic.... LOL I love it I figured out something before you...

OK here is a 411 post that was just posted today... Once it is posted like this you now can save the pic, it will right click...

   The new layout is great. Especially for VIPs.
My original suggestion to Red was to provide a better experience to VIPs. That was just one suggestion of several.

I hated clcking on 5 different photos to see them larger or to discover that there were no large photos. Saves us lots of clicks.


I'm under the impression that for non-VIP the right-click does not work.
Is that correct?

It wasn't working for anyone at first. I just discovered earlier tonight that right-clicking now works for me, so I had assumed it now works for everyone. I do have a VIP membership, however. If it is only enabled for VIP members, I have two words to say to Red...

It does appear that right-clicking is only enabled for VIP members. As I said in my previous post, I have a VIP membership and it worked for me. So I logged out and tried to right-click, and then the right-clicking did not work. I tried this with other browsers and I got the same result. When logged in, right-clicking worked but it did not work when logged out.

I like the idea of the photo's on one page layout, but there's room for improvement.

Any picture you click on links to the a page with all the photos. At this point why not just have a classified ad layout that allows all details and photos to be on one page? That would be even more convenient.

lol...I admit that I still find my self glancing over the photos and clicking on one I want to see...only be sent to a page with all the pics anyways.

Right-clicking is still disabled for me (getting the required add-ons for Firefox would require me to justify to IT, and I don't they they will agree with my reasoning ), but there's always a workaround for getting the pic link for use with Tin-Eye

Firefox's "View Page Info" lets me see the source code for only the media on a page at a glance. Cut, paste and badaboom, badabing....fake pics busted!

drag the pic to the location bar. It's easier than viewing the page info.
