"Providers responding here"

LAST EDITED ON 22-Mar-06 AT 01:47 PM (PST)

Currently this forum is still an open forum, where everyone can respond. However, responding to a 411 or question about services with anything like "that me" or "I love greek" or like to teach or "I'm visiting your area" or whatever else close to this is trolling. Any posts like this from now on will be considered trolling without exception.

1. "How are hearts supposed to respond?"
In response to message #0

I know this can be a thorny issue, and there were multiple flame wars in the old E411. Eventually, the mods threw up their hands and simply banned all hearts from posting.

Putting the post into my own words, I think the key definition is:
Trolling: any post by a provider that specifies services rendered or promotes current activities.

Since these issues will come up, we might as well address them now:

How are women supposed to defend themselves or tell their side of the story -- if they can do so at all -- in response to negative posts about them?

What is the appropriate response from a heart when some one gives inaccurate information or implies a YMMV service is generally available?

Just to clarify, questions about menu -- does she offer BBBJ? -- should not get a response from a heart. Some one else is expected to respond for them.

If a guy says something particularly nice or flatting about a heart, should she refrain from responding with a thank-you? I'd think so because that would move this forum closer to the feel of the Lounge.

Good points, so far we've been ok with the compliance of these rules. The reason why this was even an issue here was when someone asked who offers greek and some providers responded with a oh yes I do, which is definately trolling.
