It wasn't Bush's fault, and nobody blamed him for that. So quit trying to stir up any hatred for Obama one may have.It wasn't Obama's fault, either, and nobody is blaming him for that.
The last time CL did a crackdown and killed their Erotic Services (more like Neurotic Services) Section, it was largely due to a State's Attorney incumbent (equal to a DA position here in the Western States) in Illinois and the people that hitched their political stars on that wagon.
This time, it was due to the South Carolina State Attorney General, who is also up for election this year along with 15 other State Attorneys General, some of which were also up for re-election. Sounds like this particular South Kaki Laki AG wasn't "hiking the Appalachian Trail" often enough like Governor Sanford was allegedly doing.
If one hasn't done so already, check out the local BackPage.com sections, where a lot of the CL posters are finding themselves as well as some of the Redbook posters.
The problem with going after Craigslist may be that it also hurts people suffering from problems in the economy as well, where mothers are working in this line of work to pay their rent and feed their families and that shutting down Craigslist to these people may make their lives and their childrens' lives harder and not affect the human traffickers and the pimps as much as these do-gooders hope. And I see that being an issue in these hard times as well, especially when regular jobs are hard to come by these days.
