"question for gents"

If a gal is traveling and going to be utilizing hotels, and because of the size of the room, it makes it very difficult to bring a massage table, what is your opinion of a fbsm plus provider not bringing the table and just using the bed in lieu of the table? I know this is not ideal, but remember hotel, size of room etc

tia

I've seen plenty of fbsm providers in hotels, on beds. No complaints.

I actually massage on a bed all the time. I've used a table before, and while it's great for giving a thorough massage, I prefer the bed. I've found it allows for much more intimacy. And, if you're FBSM +, it'll certainly everyone get really comfortable really quickly.

Good luck

Some learn to massage, others are born to.

It make sense that traveling makes it difficult to lug around a big table and deal with hotels. FBSM plus or not, if you say that you don't have a table then let the client decide. Maybe providers can chime in, if this would somehow affect business. I would assume there's a table but I should bear some responsibility to ask if it made a difference to me.

Ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

It seems most guyz dont care much.

I do prefer having a table. This may even be a fetish. Whenever I C a massage table juices start 2 flow. Presence of table does factor into my decisions.

Lemme tell how far its gone. Ive taken my OWN massage table to hotels where gal didn't have one.

How 'bout that!

Heard of that B4?

You're diligence is amazing bilbaox! I don't see that as fetishism. Looks like foresight & perseverance to me!

Hahah! The ad could say BYOT!

Actually I have been thinking of getting a hotel room in the south bay closer to civilization once a month and just working on the bed instead of the floor if it is firm enough.

I say go for it - the guys I have talked to all say they would love it.

I've had FBSM on a bed, and had a lovely time. The only thing is to be upfront and honest about not having a table. If it's that important to the guy, then they will simply pass and move on or in the rare case BYOT.

When I make an appt, and need a real massage coupled with a nice + finish, or, normal happy ending, a table with a face cradle is a must for me.

I've had massages on beds but I could never really find a good position for my neck.

Plus, as I look back at the appts with just a bed, or on the floor, I'm pretty sure hearts didn't use fresh linens or mat covers, while, all of the massages I've had on a table, the covers were always sparkling fresh.

Do you plan to change the sheets after each client?

What type of hotel/motel do you plan to visit? Before you make your decision, use google maps and the little orange guy to really see what the place looks like. And, don't forget tripadvisor to get visitor reviews.

Puhlease! I do not know any fbsm provider who would not a)bring her own sets of clean linens, or b)ask the housekeeping staff for extra sheets and towels, with a nice tip. As for incalls, dude - we are doing laundry every day. Nobody I know would skimp and use dirty sheets. That would just be gross and unacceptable and there would be no repeat clients!

Oh and btw ms.Caitlyn, there is a great body cushion that is very light and portable that has a face cradle, for use on the floor or bed. I think I have a picture of it in my ad. Email me if you want details. It costs about the same as a massage table but is lighter and more cushy.

EXACTLY!!!! but I guess some will be ok with it and some wont... oh well :( but yes I plan on bringing many fresh linens, and I am hoping to find a place with guest laundry so I can wash every night, in addition to asking the house-keeping for extra sheets and towels...

Thanks for everyone's input

Being on an actual bed for a "plus" session is fantastic. Truth is anyone going seeking a "plus" session is really only going for the "plus" whether they admit it or not so you might as well have the comfort level and sensuality of bein on a big comfy bed. Thanks for asking.

On of the reasons I like being on a massage table is the view of possibly sexy legs and feet. Teasing contact with legs and thighs is quite exciting too.
Besides, massage quality could be compromised due to non-optimal height when on a bed and the provider than has to reach over or kneel on the bed.

Agree about + activities getting more fun on a bed, though!

Agree with Blue Lantern, if no table make it known, though I've had several sessions with incredible ladies on this forum, some retired, that was more about the intimacy of the + as opposed to the CMT aspect of a table. having a table to bring, that one may be interesting to explain to the Mrs... but then again could open new doors. ;^) I've had CMT quality on beds, non-CMT on beds. I must say the session really depends more on the connection with the provider than location. As I travel a lot for work, hotels in Tokyo often times the therapist just performs on the bed. Same in Bangkok, though it was on a mat thinner than 2" deep on the floor. What that woman could do with her massage was incredible.. again no table. Get creative, have fun, make sure the customer has expectations set!

There is always room on the floor, but use an exercise mat for cushion and comfort. Like said before, swap out the sheets for fresh ones each time.

I am all about connecting with my client, so I like the idea of being on a bed where I can touch closer, intertwine my body with theirs and kiss, cuddle, etc which sometimes is hindered on a table, at least for me anyways lol

I actually have preferred the few sessions I've had on the bed. As long as its relatively firm, the mattress can provide enough support. And I'm not really a fan of those head rests on the tables anyway. I like to have a pillow under my chest for support.

In fact if someone knows of FBSM providers who use a bed instead of a table, I'd love to know. It would definitely be an added bonus when deciding who I'd like to see!

Thanks for all your replies! This helps and I will make sure I bring lots of flat sheets before my trips to the bay area lol!!! I think you can get em for like $5 at walmart... I think it might be good to find a hotel to do laundry on site at the end of the night for my sheets and towels... any suggestions from traveling ladies?

I am FINALLY coming to the Bay Area in mid Sept after a 2 yr absence

The quality of the massage and vibe of the session are a lot different table vs. bed.

Employing proper body mechanics would be impossible.

I would only give a massage on a bed if there were absolutely no other choice (outside of declining the session of course) or if the person were ill or otherwise not ambulatory.

I'm FBSM+ - but not FS.

A bed offers the hope of FS.

Personally, in most cases, a bed for me would not work.

It's always Summer at my place! xoxo

Thats good to know your thoughts summer, mainly I wanted the GUYS input since they are the ones I am catering to.. and thankfully, most of the guys who responded seem really OK with the idea... and even most of the females too...

that makes me feel more at ease with traveling... and I am not a CMT, I make that clear so body mechanics are not as crucial to me...

And I am so glad you guys pitched in... I will definitely be visiting soon now

I definitely can transform a hotel room into a peaceful, sensual, romantic zen atmosphere... table or not

I think its mostly about whether you can still give a good session on a bed. I def feel more comfortable with a table because Im more used to taking care of my body mechanics while massaging on a table.

Taking care of body mechanics means offering a better more intuitive massage because your whole body allows the energy to flow thru it...when you are hunched over the energy only comes from your hand or arm and its broken and there is a marked difference in how it is received.

However, you can hold body mechancis on a floor or bed as well...eastern massage practices teach one how to do this. Its pretty much the same just making use of lunging and straight back while beding over on your knees, etc. Just a bit more work for the practitioner but if you are already limber and do yoga,...you should be fine.

If you don't consider body mechanics in your massage ....a few yoga classed can put you on the right track...its pretty much the same.

And if you don't understand the difference,...then id say get a masssage from someone who uses body mechanics and then get a massage from someone who does not... then a whole new world may possibly open up to you as to what is possible to be giving...
