"The Humbler"

I am very intrigued by the CBT bondage device known as "The Humbler". I think I want to build one for my ball-busting playmates to use on me, but I have a couple of questions first:

For any Dommes who regularly use one of these: are there any special features, hinges, hooks, etc that I should make sure to include? I have seen them with slide in place ball-crushers, and eyebolts at each end to secure to wrist straps. I haven't seen one with a hinge at one end and a locking hasp at the other, and wonder why not? Any other features that I shouldn't be without?

Also, are there any South Bay or Peninsula Dommes who have one and would use it in session? I might like to try one out before I go to the trouble of building it.

I think I can do it without, but does anyone know of any on-line plans, templates, measurements or parts lists for one of these?

Thanks gang,
-jeepman

One thing you might want to consider adding is strategically placed metal plates, with jacks for connecting the Humbler to an electrical box.

   Jeepman,

The device is pretty simple; nothing in addition to what you mentioned. The was a local artisan selling them on eBay and I saw them for sale at the SM Flea two weeks ago. Pretty nice device. I wish he made them in mahogany.

Beaumont - I love the way that you think

The modification of spikes in the seperator area; attached to poles for a ErosTek box - now that's getting there...

Very cool suggestions, thanks. I am leaning now toward a custom 24" length (cuz I'm a big guy), hand finished mahogany design, with hidden hinges and locking cams. I'm thinking of a lexan crusher attachment for a good view of what's happening to the "boys" as it gets cranked down tight. The crusher attachment could also holds twin Innotek electroshock "pet trainer" receivers at the proper position for the twin electrodes to dig sharply into each ball. These receivers provide 7 varying levels of "correction" which can be remotely controlled (individually) from up to 1000 yards away!

I'm likin' it. Still would like to know if I've left anything out, and if any Mistresses in South Bay or Penninsula can provide me with a "test drive" of a standard humbler.

Thanks again,

-jeepman

The Humbler is a great device, and I can imagine that being able to custom-build one to fit you would be a real plus. Good luck!

Yes, the artisan who sells them on ebay, also makes them for my online store (and I was the one who had them at the Flea) and will have them at Folsom Street Fair.

Sonny would make you one in Mahogany if you asked. If you want his email, inbox me.

Lady Lilith, will this device get in the way of strapon play or make it difficult to do? I would buy one if it had the electrical contact for electric play.

Actually, I've used humblers with tens units and violet wands.

They do NOT get in the way of strap on play. They do prevent you from straightening your legs.

My ATF Dom subjects me to the humbler on a regular basis, and brings a new meaning to the word "ouch" when combining the devise with a small stinging cock and ball whip, hot wax, a violet wand, or - worse - an electric bug (ball) zapper.

   Bound,

You are a true aficanado as am I. I think the Hanson Humbler is the gold standard. The hinges are hidden, it latches closed without having to turn wingnuts and/or locks. The lock is very quick and easy to disengage.

I am a big electrical fan as well, and though I thought this device might be too intense, I have found that it is not.

I have not seen a Humbler with hand attachments at the end, but that would be a great feature.

I have one and really like it. btw, the Hanson and the MR. S are the same thing.

I would recommend against a lock on this device. My concern would be muscle spasms because of the posture it induces, and in case of a muscle spasm, you want to be able to get it off as fast as possible. Muscle spasms are painful enough without having it jerking against your balls.
