Funny you ask... I guess we all do have those little things/rituals we do before the play...

I'll shower, brush my teeth, and use the trimmer to shave down mr. happy...

then I'll tie three knots each of a French Bow, Half Hitch, and Anchor Hitch... in that order.

   I would actually advise against brushing teeth or shaving immediately before a rendezvous. Brushing can open up your gums and make them more susceptible to transmission, especially if you're gonna indulge in oral worship. Shaving can also cause tiny little cuts which the eye can't see but which also makes transmission of cooties easier. Better to shave the day before. And better to just eat a mint or gargle in the hours before the session. It kinda blows to think about stuff like that. But better safe than sorry! ;)

Interesting info on the teeth brushing... but, I don't shave, just use the mustache trimmer down there to trim the hedges...

I believe it's just flossing that is recommended against before sessions, unless of course you brush so hard as to cause a break in the gums.

Just before a session, I take some time to relax and clear my head. This may mean arriving a bit early and spending a few minutes before entering whatever place I am supposed to meet the provider. (This is okay as long as you don't park right outside the provider's location.)

When I first started doing is, I actually asked providers to join me at the start of the session to do this together. Maybe I should do that again.

Five minutes of mind clearing can make for a surprisingly better session afterwords, and it seems to hold true for providers as well as clients.

I wouldn't be surprised if many others do variations of the same thing.

   I read all the emails I have exchanged with the client. I make sure I am prepared, with wardrobe, toys, towels. I make sure I am not late or in a hurry. I must be fully present. I turn off my cell phones. I finish preparations 10-15 minutes prior to the session, and wait with a cup of green tea. I fantasize about what might happen in the session. I make a note to ask any questions I may have. Then the doorbell rings...

   I have a real smoking fetish...I love dominant gals who smoke. So, if I know the mistress, or if I have talked to her about this before, i will go buy her choice of cigarettes for her. This puts me in the mood, gets me thinking about it, and is a bit submissive/humiliating....(especially if it is something like Virgina Slims 120s....)....yum

I practice a time of meditation prior to a scene and I regularly cleanse my space of others' energies. I quiet my mind and allow my thoughts to drift to the person I'm seeing, their desires, my desires and I move into a place that allows me to engage with their energy from the moment they enter my space.


It was fun to ruminate on that. Until I wrote it down I'd never really given it conscious thought. Thanks!

   The primary one is what I DON'T do. I try to keep my hand off it for at least a few days beforehand. Sometimes not so successfully.

I clean up real good right before. I figure out my route to the dungeon beforehand, since I don't drive to sessions anymore. I try to make sure it's been awhile since I've eaten but not too long. I do my best not too have any gas issues; avoid beans, broccoli or high fiber.

I like to scope out the area beforehand on the Web, figure out where I can get a drink and something to eat afterward.
