One of the strategies of those desperate for fame is: if you want to be famous attack a famous person. Historical writings about Abraham Lincoln include the name John Wilkes Booth.
This tactic has been used for years in academia where a lackluster professor will attack the theories of someone credible and famous to garner attention, so that his con position, no matter how ridiculous, is mentioned when discussions of the theories of the true contributor to the body of knowledge occur.
This phenomenon is most evident in Pumps forum. The personal attacks of moderators in other forums no longer gains attention. The tranny gay bashing directed at those he tries to bait has become like pissing in the wind with the attention effect of a fart in a hurricane.
His mixer rants are not about mixers per se, a once ardent advocate of mixers, now he must use them to draw attention to give some traction to his posts. Take away the provider “look at me posts” there would be nothing happening there of any interest.
There is no need to be factual, as a matter fact the more outrageous the better for generating discussions. He has clearly proclaimed on several occasions that he not only allows controversy but encourages it as it brings traffic.
Some may mistakenly perceive this thread as an attack on Pump. He relishes the attention. So I’m just giving a little water for the weeds on a once potentially fertile land to help keep it from becoming a completely barren land. Why you ask?

Also there is a certain interest in watching a train wreck. The news media depends heavily on this.
