Ok I'm drunk and I gotta kick this dead horse.

But in response to a current thread in the underground titled "What's The Purpose of the Pieshoppe" I posted something along the lines of 'to keep cutiepie from posting her grammatically incorrect incomprehensible syntax in other forums.' and this comment got deleted from the thread.

Now I happen to know cutiepie, I sessioned with her, partied with her, the last time I saw her we got along fine. I have no axe to grind here. I was just talking smack in the UG.

If something as harmlessly sarcastic as that comment gets shot down...why have the forum? It's basically turned into a place where certain people can spam attack each other to no end and no purpose, whereas anything clever, attacking anyone else on RB...gets shot down.

With Pumpire and Product being able to talk all the shit they want with minimal consequences in their forums...with the House of Pain emerging as the only safe place to bitch about anything and everything that is wrong on RB...with the UG mods having no accountablity to the posters - hell we don't even know who they are - and no consistancy in there deletions, isn't it time to bury the UG?

I'm surprised anything gets deleted at all in the UG, but then I don't even stick my head in that area of RB anymore. I thought the UG was for anyone to post anything, I remember reading really nasty crap about all sorts of folks years ago. When did this change? Or did it?

From reading different takes on the UG over time, I had come to the conclusion that the UG was needed for all the wankers on RB to go spew their hateful crap, so as to keep them from clogging up the rest of the forums with their bile.

1) The purpose of the UG is to have a place for a few select disgruntled liberals that live their lives obsessing over me to post, since they cannot take the beatings I give them above ground.

They're closeted homosexuals that have intimate, firsthand knowledge of the gay lifestyle, and elaborate all of their gay fantasies (realities?) there in my honor.

This includes the long absent "stive", who has taken to different handles above ground. He has a penchant to re-write any lengthy post I make from his perspective as a gay man.

They need to hide somewhere!

2) Why talk smack about cutiepie in the UG? She does her thing, and obviously lots of people enjoy it. Even if you know her and like her, how do you expect anyone to distinguish your anonymous post (as a friend) from the ocean of haters who run down there to whine?

3) Pump and Product do not get to talk shit without repercussions. They are effectively jailed in their appropriately named Ass forum. Any time they wander out to opine they are slapped about by the general membership. One has to go FIND their babblings to even know what they are saying! No two members are as severely marginalized as they are.

I wouldn't spend much time worrying about the UG, it's purpose, or it's mods. Anyone posting there is essentially saying they're a spineless coward. let the babies have their bottle, and let the mods spank anyone they feel like there. It's meaningless.

The UG has frequently served as a source for unmentionable truths like the real identities of those that harm others. Since Red frequently acts like a ball less wonder, it has been one of the few places that has acted with a conscience. Admittedly it gets abused a lot. The current mods are a disaster.

He is the one and really only reason this website is often a menace to those that use it. Like it or not this is everyday several hundred people's workplace. Each month it is thousands of people's work place. I think that people should have a safe workplace. I'm sure if you work you appreciate that as well. Red is busy undermining that goal in order to line his pocket. It is literally that simple. He allows some people to make threats for what reason? Like it or not, there are issues in ANY workplace. Every place should be a safe workplace, but they aren't. Post Offices seem to attract whack jobs with automatic weapons. Why don't you go there and threaten everyone and complain about the postmaster general and the president?

The purpose of the UG was to contain a guy named Che and another poster. I think they knew each other because they both frequented a strip club on the East Coast. It was quite a while ago and I do not remember why they were always fighting, but they ran over many threads in the early days.

When the UG was created they settled right in there and left the main board alone.

There were a few high points in the UG like when Sister Patricia(French Kiss) was a mod. She was a great creative writer.

Over the last 5 or so years the forum became exceedingly dull, I don't even to bother to look more than once a month. And I have yet to see a post that made me think "glad I checked in this time. That was funny."
