"Escort vs Courtesan"
 
I see the word "Courtesan used alot but the word "ESCORT" more.


For me, the term "Courtesan" implies a more "intimate" experience since she would be more in tune with her sexuality and be in a mindset to expose her sexuality to me freely and openly.

I'm not saying an Escort can't provide the same kind of experience but that's what comes to my mind when I hear the term "Courtesan".

What do you think when you see the word "Courtesan"???

"Courtesan" implies more of a GFE, something sensual, erotic, intimate. Also implies (to me anyway) a repeat experience, standing gig over time.

"Escort" is a one-night stand, room-service sexual playmate. Probably less expensive than a courtesan (although there are some way-overpriced escorts), but more than a street walker. Just my .02

I like your take on it Kelly. A courtesan may indeed be older, however that it probably because she does get more than money out of the encounter. Therefore happy to make it a very long term career. It isn't about being better than, or charging more than an escort. It is about being more a companion in a more friendly intimate sense than a girl for dinner and a movie (wink). Probably even the same price.

   I believe escorts and courtesans provide different things. A courtesan is a much more intimate relationship and also built more for the continuos relations. Courtesans throughout history have given the gfe experience while escorts tend to be more for the taste tester one timer guys. Thats just my .02.

Courtesan. I think it is a term used by a provider who is trying to justify overcharging by giving the false impression that she's better than everybody else. A false sense of superiority, sense of entitlement, and arrogance that does not deserve my time nor my money.

Courtesans were basically mistresses. They were supported by wealthy men who provided them with anything they could ever want. Usually a woman of an upper class household would turn to the world of the courtesan for several different reasons.
