"define lapdog"

i've heard the term and yes i've been one i feel more then once. for me it seems its anyone who cares for someone to the point they do things for them over and above what a paying client will do. in return the provider lets you hang out with them without the meter going. only speaking for myself when i was one i had honest concern for the well being of the person i was with. you worry about there health and safety and make sure they have what they need to function. for that concern your allowed to have meals and hang out with them when there not making money. oh when they need money your the first they would go to. i made the mistake that they would have the same concern for me but found out no. to keep you in line they stop commucating thus make you worry as to why. then bring you back in when they feel your ready. maybe we should have a forum for lapdogs. yet without us lapdogs i feel the providers might find it alittle more diffcult but they would get by. how about your best lapdog story so we can ALL HAVE A GOOD LAUGH.

Meh, I don't care if some dude is a flesh-and-blood sucker for a provider. It's your money and if it makes you feel better to be treated that way, so be it. What's annoying and unacceptable is uncritical, defensive, and less-than-forthcoming commentary on a certain provider. If your comments do nothing to truthfully educate the other mongers on this board so that you might curry favor with said provider, that's being a lapdog. Lapdogs are about comments, not snuggling.

A lapdog is someone who shills or comes to the defense of a particular provider. A WK is someone who reflexively comes to the rescue of nearly every provider who he sees as a damsel in distress and himself as some sort of perv Robin Hood.

Lapdog = person who worships providers to excess.

Shill = an insider posing as a satisfied customer

http://forum.myredbook.com/dcforum2/DCForumID15/2.html

Sometimes flirting is confused with lap dogging. Sometime praising is confused with shilling.

For some hanging with hookers, being friends with hookers is crossing a boundary, for others it is not. Some hobbyist and providers once they establish a friendship they will cease to session with each other, others do not.

People form relationships from interaction in various settings, work, church, clubs, community/fraternal organizations, etc. Relationships can be socially rewarding and they also can lead to drama.

While I’m a whore, I’m not a provider so the definitional requirements are not met therefore the term cannot be applied.

I think I only come up with this shit because I’m an idiot savant, lol.

I think a lapdog is a PL who has made the mistake of falling for his provider -- PL in the truest sense. Many will regard it as a rookie mistake. They argue you have to mature, to learn to keep your emotions within the bounds of the session. Still, I think it's only human. It happens even to the best of us.

What the community has a problem with is when the lapdog publicly shills for the provider.

maybe we should have a forum lapdog support group just like AA. were we call each other when one of us is getting ready to fall for them. our catch motto "step away from the provider".

The only problem with your idea is that most lapdogs don't recognize themselves as such. They just figure that they're more sensitive about the ladies than the rest of us slobs.

no lap dogs do know they are as such. just there thrown bones at different times to keep them in check. for example you'll get a call what are you doing want to go have a drink. you go have a few laughs then go have a free session. you think wow i must be special and in some cases you are to a certain degree. yet remember they think that a lapdog is a weak person they can control and a fun thing to keep around until something better comes along.

A lapdog is someone who gives grade-inflated reviews of a provider that do not reflect the reality.

They THINK they're doing that provider a favor, but they're not.

I don't like grade-inflating lapdogs. People like that defeat the purpose of a review system.

Bush Sucks.

I don't see the malice in it. Sitting or sleeping on someone elses lap can be a warm and fuzzy position. Teenage boys would give their right arms to be someone's lap dog. They could make a movie about it: "Rise Of The Teenage Lapdog Werewolfs". Starring Lefty Collins and Heather Locklear.
