"Different look at call girls from ABC news"

Its a different twist of a story that will be on 20/20. Economists view of prostitution (specially the mid to high end).

More objective view or more "business view" than your typical "prostitution is bad and exploits women" views.

"She came up with this brilliant idea," said Levitt. "She calls customers at their work, before she'll ever meet them. And, ostensibly, she calls them just to tell them how much she is looking forward to their date that night. But really what she is telling them is, 'I know where you work. And if anything goes wrong, I am gonna call you there.'

Screening with business info? She came up with that idea?

I just saw the print ad for the new book SuperFreakonomics, which cites "Patriotic Prostitutes" in the copy.

It made me think of RB immediately...

One of those authors has GOT to be a Monger!

I think these guys are full of shit. They take some statistics and
then make these ridiculous deductions without providing any actual
proof to make the connections. I just watched the episode tonight
promoting their new book and its seemed like a freaking commercial
for this company Intellectual Ventures which they probably own a
piece of. Worse this company IV sounds like a patent troll. Just filing
patents without ever actually trying to implement them. Give me a break.

Regarding prostitution the women's movement if anything hurt the level
of prostitution. Watch the history channel and you'll find that
prostitution was much more prevalent during roman empire and in the
wild west.
