One part I found funny was when they talked about how roman wives were rarely fucked by their husbands. Also how "higher end" whores charged 10 times what lower end girls charged. Nothing ever changes.

Also, there were public urinals strategically placed and a patron could pay for relieving his or her self. The most interesting sites were the spas. The steam or hot spa and the frigio or cold spa was seperate.

Pompeii was a town for recreation, with a public square and plenty of brothels. A moderate sized amphitheater with space for reclining couches for the wealthy was a focal point of the ancient city.

Many of the walls of the private residences were decorated with scenes of orgies, sexual acts and commentary of the events. All the residences I saw had an atrium with a reflection pool to catch rain water, since I guess there must have been global warming back then. Not enough rainfall.

So, the locals and the wealthy visitors whored, drank wine, saw theater,
and relieved themselves in comfort. The sewers flowed down channels in the streets. Reminds me of San Francisco...
