Even without the recession I think the porn industry will gradually do less anyway simply because there are so many free stuff on the internet. I stopped renting or buying DVD many years ago.

Honestly, this is the law of supply and demand. I don't buy porn because there are alot of free stuff online (no, I don't mean pirated) PLUS it doesn't take much to make porn. You just need a camcorder.

Anyone can make porn, but not everyone can make Star Wars. Porn industry has always been overvalued and will shrink to what it should be.

When you have $ problem, you get back to the basic, food, shelter, water, air. Junior can wait. Oh, Pussies are a real luxury now. Wait a minute, it meant to be free, and illegal if it is not.

Talking of free porn sites, which ones do you frequent?

Ones I go to are:
1) www.xvideos.com
2) www.megaporn.com - limited minutes per day but enuf for what I want to do
3) www.tnaflix.com - Buffering issues
4) www.pornhub.com

Hard to find quality clips of Kaylani Lei, Dyanna Lauren, Jesse Jane, Jenna Jameson, Asia Carrera, Jill Kelly and Tera Patrick. I noticed if quality clips are added they are taken down very quickly. I think porn industry monitor these sites.

This is because the bigger companies like Wicked, Vivid, and VCA know their content is being posted on these sites and they try to police them. In fact I remember watching an interview with Vivid CEO where he walks into an office and guy on PC tells shows them clips of their videos being posted on some sites. They contact the site owners and tell them to remove their content. I read an article in SF Chronicle where CEO of kink.com said they do the same thing now. They cannot easily remove their content from P2P networks though.

All these XXX companies are greedy, just like any other industry.
They need to lower their prices if they wanna start making money again.
You try and make up the difference in quantity. Just like car companies that give away their cars. If they sell enough of those, they make money thru sales in bulk.
