"Question about reviews"

   Hey guys,

A question about reviews. I am doing my homework and trying to narrow down my choices off of my "wish list." I have the premium membership, and I am reading reviews. My question is --- should I be concerned if a provider has multiple reviews by people who have only posted 1 review, the review on the provider's page? Several hotties from my list have good reviews, but on further research, the reviewers have no other reviews.

Just curious --- and for the record, I haven't posted any reviews either, so I guess I would fall into this category.

Thanks,
heremiti >> ocean love

By posting the question I think you have answered it.

I disreguard Reviews when the reviewer only has one review.

I only trust a guy who has done a minimum of 3 reviews in a relatively short period of time

Personally, I think it depends on the quality of the review. If it's a really solid review with plenty of details, specifics and useful information, I think it's fine. There are members of the community who might session once every blue moon.

On the other hand, if it's more of a simple, basic and lapdog review with a lot of general statements, I'd probably dismiss it.

Have to agree with BlueLantern here. Also beware that a new reviewer may inflate the rating of the lady's appearance.

I typically remove the outliers (people who give a score of 10 or a too low score) and look at all the others. This way, I can have a feel for the RA.

not in all cases but most of the time a single review means a made up handle to get the reviews started. in some rare cases someone who doesn't review then decides it was so good or bad he wants to write a review. i find looking at a number of reviews if there is a bad review followed by a very good review that too is a warning. a provider cann't please every one all of the times and at times a reviewer is just pissed. best thing to do is find a review who has about the same standards and taste as you and use his reviews to lead you.

I wish RB wouldn't allow first time reviewers to review a new provider. Invariably they're inflated scores which usually means they're fake or you get a guy who is so grateful for getting fucked the first time, that he falls in love and posts a review that doesn't reflect reality.

That's a good idea. I generally dismiss any reviews that I see from one review reviewers. It is just too risky. For me to accept it, the review must be from someone who is a true fellow monger.

This sure is an expensive hobby.

One shot reviewers should be ignored. That is until they become multi-shot reviewers. Every reviewer was a one-shot at one time.

Discouraging new reviewers isn't a good idea, even though it might prevent some fake reviews. It might prevent new guys from using redbook or writing reviews at all.

There is a redbook competitor that has a policy like this. When I submitted a review of my ATF (my first and last on that site) to them they "held" my access to reviews (and the review) telling me I would have to wait until someone else who was established with them reviewed her. This was a girl who had several reviews on redbook over a year.

I found this policy so annoying I basically harassed them until they banned me from the site and deleted the review.

Redbook provides the tools to discern quality reviews from bullshit, just use them.

Put every review in context and formulate a consensus based on what you see.

• If one first-timer rates a provider too high or low, I disregard the review.
• If two reviews are nearly identical, I disregard the reviews.
• If all the reviews have a shill tone, disregard

On the other hand,

• If you see different experiences, ratings - good sign
• If there is a recurring theme (ie BBBJ or 'tied me up and ate peanut-butter off my sack' - probably believable
• If first-time sounds like a first-timer, not a shill, good sign

I also tend to discount angry and hostile reviews because the PL probably brought out negativity in his session. Life is to short to go around pissed off. And decent providers don't deserve reviews from assholes who hate themselves.

Finally, you can't get away from a YMMV session every once in a while. Find someone who appeals to you, be sensible and reasonable, respect boundaries, and have fun.

After yrs reading the forums and discussions it seems that 3 reviews are needed to be safe. But, then there's the chance that you go for it & it's diamond in the rough ( 20% likely ) so that's 1k for a diamond.

   heremiti,

I know I will get flamed for saying this, but reviews in general are of absolutely no value. Keep in mind that all men are created unequally, and we each get out kicks in infinitely different ways. One guy...two...let's say three different guys provide awesome reviews about some chick. What's to say that you personally will enjoy whatever it it that these three enjoyed? What you SHOULD look for is at least 10 reviews. I know that's a lot -- and will weed out most -- but that will ensure that the woman is not a fly-by-night, rob, or someone people are avoiding. One with many reviews tells you that other guys are seeing this girl, and you are not walking into a trap or a bad experience. Also be sure to look at the date of the review. Notice how there are dozens and dozens of reviews for AAMP girls, but most of them are from years ago.

Now here's what you have to be careful of. That one review on the provider page is likely written by the provider herself or her pimp. You will never know that because you can't find any other post by that handle. The handles you see in the reviews are seldom found in the forums. That's a red flag.
