"Using the yellow pages for escorts?"
 
   Yesterday, the power went out for two hours here in Salinas. As I was waiting for the power to come back on, I wanted to get the number to the PG&E support line to find out when the power would be restored. As I'm looking through the yellow pages, I saw the section of Escort services. I remembered long ago that the yellow pages was the only place to find company for some evening fun.

Now with the internet, the yellow pages seems anicent. Does anyone here still use the escort services from the yellow pages? If you do or have done in the past, have you ever paided through credit card? I see that the escort services take all major credit cards....lol.

   I've never paid by credit card but wouldn't be against doing it (not married).

Going back to the mid 70's or so, I would call a few here in CA and also Reno and Vegas. Results weren't "great" but OK.

I would always ask for a blonde and they'd send a brunette to my Hotel (ah fuck ) but once you get the negotiation down and bargain as if your in TJ trying to buy a fake Rolex for 10 bucks instead of 80 as if your life depends on it (lol) it CAN work out.

Haven't done it recently, just no need, but a lot of these operations had relatively decent girls and you do have to hammer and insist on age and weight requirements and be steadfast. Overall many were run quite well. I still have some damn pens and matchbooks from these places that the Hookers would bring over.

If you think about it and if your greatest concern is running into a ROB.... Anyone can call an Ad on CL, with no reviews, offering some 15/50 blow and go OR you could risk calling some fool that spent a grand or "whatever" to take out a large yellow page ad, probably has some fixed location, and some additional details in case something "big time" goes wrong seems like a decent risk albeit a bit more costly.

I remember the Yellow Pages. "A1 Escorts", "AA1 Escorts", "AAA1 Escorts", etc. Probably all went to the same cigar-stub-smoking receptionist guy in some flea-bit motel. That's so 1980's. If God had wanted us to use the Yellow Pages to get hookers, He wouldn't have given us RB.

I've used YP escort services twice - whilst visiting a remote area sans any obvious action on the internet (e.g. CL.)

1st hooked up with a decent looking, nice gal, who basically came to my room and provided a slightly sensuous clothed massage.

2nd hooked up with a fairly pretty (looks: 7) gal via an agency who seemed more likely to provide FS; she came to the room, we got nekkid, she started to indicate some rules/limitations, but the whole adventure turned out to be *outstanding* rbgfe ... blessedly lucky there!

Using the YP is so 20th Century. Before I discovered internet hobbying, I rarely indulged as the few experiences I had were horrendously inconsistent.

   Pre-web and pre-AIDS, that was the only way to go. My very first experience with an escort was from the yellow pages back in the late 70's. That was still the best session I've ever had. In the years since I've tried a few times with very bad results. And never use them when you're out of town. Seems like they're always a rip off.

The YP were a crap shoot. Of three times two of them were rip-offs for me (in the early 90's). The Spectator was much better once you learned to read the ads carefully. The classiest woman I ever met was though the Spectator. Swedish decent originally from the LA area. I still vividly remember an evening sharing a good bottle of white burgundy with her...A MILF to die for....

With the Bay Area Pleasure Guide (limited emailing list) and RB the YP is amusingly ancient.

Is it still active? Worthwhile? How might one sign up/request subscription? (I nosed around and found pleasureguide.com to be inactive/unresponsive - at least as a 'website'.)

That document based emailing stopped 8 - 10 years ago. RB made is irrelavent. It was basically a summary list of reviews like what is online here today.

i was in fresno and used the yellow pages. it wasnt that bad. they came to the room driver left. girl even went a little over the amount of time we agreed on

the wetter the better

Someone must still be using the yellow pages. I guess not everyone is computer literate (most likely much older guys). Those yp half or full page ads must be expensive.

   Only tried YP once in the mid 90's down in L.A. and all I got for my $150 was a massage with my own lotion while she was fully clothed......waste of $$$!!!!
