"got back my std results"
 
   i just got back my std results & everything came back negative. thank goodness because i was tripping the past couple months. i should had went earlier but kept stalling. i had bbfs w/many providers and will never do this again. some had offered & some i just straight out asked. yeah, many of us have said this before but slipped anyways. i no longer have the desire but surely will keep sessioning with our local hotties. i feel relieved and just wanted to share this. just because you ran one test doesn't mean you're totally clear. i visit the clinic for the free tests at least once every 2 months just to double check so i can at least sleep at night.

   After 20 + years of the hobby I look back and believe I am quite lucky.
I stopped hobbying after I went into a routine screening appointment and was shocked to learn that I had herpes. Now I have never had an outbreak and at this point I am more than skeptical about the results. Many have suggested I get retested but at this point in life if I found out I was negative I would likely return to the hobby and I really would rather not.

It is possible that essentially everyone "has" herpes (either I or II). In random searches for herpes DNA in the cranial ganglia of cadavers, the prevalence is ~50%.

1) even with PCR methods, it is hard to detect.
2) that was just in the cranial ganglia

No disrespect, but I'm curious why you still stay on RB if you're trying to stay away from the hobby. I'd think it would be too much temptation for me and that would lead me to getting retested...and of course with a negative result, the downward spiral begins once again.

   Actually vice it is a form of entertainment I guess. Some of the things that I read are interesting and humorous with the exception of the things written in Community Hall. After all of those years playing the positive result just made me take a step back and reflect on what I had done and honestly I cannot think of anything that I have not done that I wanted to do. I also think I wasted a great deal of money and at the end of the day it really did not do anything for me other than just get off and that is just not enough for me. At home my relationship has never been better.

Glad you have found your profound truth. Mine it seems is that intimacy with one person is far more fulfilling than sticking my dick in some woman who is getting paid to pretend she is enjoying the time spent with me. Congrats on coming back clean. It's always a good feeling. Lesson learned? You're probably fairly safe on most things, but bear in mind the HIV window can be a few months for the antibodies to show up, so you probably want to get retested for that at least a couple months since your last risky behavior. Check out the medical forum for more thorough advice.

I guess we all have our blind spots and this appears to be one of yours.

Just about every provider is doing bareback intercourse with somebody, husband, boyfriend, SO, etc. THINK through the reason we use condoms. Having sex with someone who does bareback with others when YOU use a condom is probably the least risky of GFE menu items.

Rather than asking this on a public board you could have simply sent him an inbox as you are requesting the info via inbox. Not doing this makes it look like you are trying to stir the pot and treading close to TOS violation, hence why you question was deleted would be my guess.

   yes, i'm aware of how long hiv takes and the last bb session was in late january. i went once before but the thought of it showing up later bugged me. thats why i went again & i'm cleared. its been over 10 months & the nurse stated that it would show within 3 months. i'm pretty sure thats what she said but again i was embarrassed because she was totally lecturing me. they take you into a private room & look over the records including how many partners you've been with the past month & 12 months. for the guy, you wants a free clinic go to sf city clinic. yeah, it was really stupid & i'm done w/bb but gonna still continue my hobby.
