"did anyone rent a studio for your discreet activities?"
 
   If so, how did it work out? I understand you need to spend some money (say $900-1000/month) but it is better than to keep booking hotels 7-8 times a month and also the hassle of checking in only at 3pm or later etc? I am interested in others' experiences on this as well as does it make sense from discretion/financial angle? If so, do you guys know any such potentiall discreet places in sbay or in peninsula or hayward/alameda ? Thanks in advance...Behappy38

So if you're trying to be discrete, why would one want to get an apartment where there would be a credit check, deposit, etc that would leave a paper trail?

   I know a few members have done this before together....something like five or six guys....to help keep the costs down, and they all had thier own schedule. I was asked to participate, but I usually just go to the providers location.

look for a "mother in law " suite to rent, affordable,,and has all the amenities..

been doing it for years..450 a month...

near my house and i have a great set up....

only special ladies can come there because as i said,,it's near my house and you have to be discreet, bcuz stay at home moms,,,talk,,they fuck too..

   renting a 'studio' or anything for that matter if your married is a fucking stupid idea. MAJOR paper trail back to what your doing.

Now with that being said - if you're single or you can pull off overnight visits easily and handle all of your $ yourself and keep the wifey out of it - it may be worth while.

I would have to believe that you are a john that doesn't have a problem kicking 2-3+ K a month for this kind of play.

If you end up with a studio in the SB that you want to rent to a fellow john on a per/day/ 1/2 day basis, that would be something I would be up for. Would be nice to have a regular crib to bang my NP stable in.

Thanks for the general feedback. But I was expecting lot more responses since there has to be substantial number of us here who own/run small to midsize businesses where you can control your time and $ (i mean affordability of 2-3k/mon and control of trail back by expensing everything online where bills are not necessarily sent to any address, etc) who went through this process of renting a place where you can have only your ATFs come in. Btw, If you end up sharing up the space with others, the issue of discreetness comes into place, I would think! Some suggested to go for incalls but the problem is that you have no control over the environment at so many levels whereas outcall is the way to go, then the studio for ATFs is better suited over the long run IMHO. Others pointed out that with your own studio, public records will show your name and NEW address too for a long time if someone does a background/credit check for a few dollars so it is not necessarily totally anonymous to the extent one may think. I dont have an answer for that and I am wondering about the cost benefit analysis of all this logistics involved for supposedly a hobby anyway!

I borrowed a friends room in his 3bedrm house. But actually, there was a family living there at the time. It was kinda comical to knock on the door w/the chick there with you. Fortunately, there were no kids there. Just a bunch of rednecks.

   It's a lot easier and cheaper to rent a small office space, and especially right now with all the vacant space, you can get it for really cheap. Most won't have showers, but there are ways of working around that. There are commercial land lords so desperate to rent space at the moment that some will do it without a credit check and you just need to give them a deposit. Just go month to month and pay a couple months in advance. I've done it before, works like a charm. And you don't need to worry being seen by neighbors as you enter/exit.

Here is a bay area search on Craigslist in the $500 to $1000 price range. There are 4 pages of them.

   This is the way to go. It works great if you're into non-pros. I had a futon in there with a desk and could convert it into a faux-photography studio. I had fake business cards and everything. I wasn't using it enough so I closed up shop, but I spend a lot of time thinking about getting it up and running again.

Don't limit to yourself to offices and studios. My spot was a warehouse in a little compound, private bathroom, a private entrance, a loft...

Pro athletes and politicians are known for renting or buying
homes to use as discreet locations to take their whores. They
can avoid the press and paparazzi who are often tipped off by
hotel workers and they don't leave a paper trail. They can
tell their wives the properties are rental properties or
investments or use a beard (i.e. some flunkie) to hide the
purchase or rent the property for them. But they have tons of
money to do this.

Since average joe blows don't have to hide from press or
paparazzi I don't know if its worth spending so much money
to buy or rent a property just to bang some chicks in private?
However, with the current buyers market for housing and rentals it
might be worth renting a discreet place use for regular hookups
for short stretches of time? You could rent a place for a couple
months and tell the landlord you and wife are having problems
if he runs a background check and asks about you owning a home
but most won't give a damn.

Also I know some guys who rent apartments just to trick
counties into allowing their kids to attend public schools outside
their residential districts. Its supposedly cheaper than paying
for private school and allows their kids to attend best public
schools in other districts. Now if they were hobbyists they
could also use those apts for mongering. The wife would know
about the apt but not know you were using it for
extracurricular activities. Just make sure she doesn't show up
there when you are using it.

In SF places are so close together & possible nosy neighbors. I did when my funds were more available. Initial move-in is around 2K, then utilities. Even in-laws in SF will run you 1K including/ utilities. You lose the mobility if something happens but the conveniences of not having it handy. Time sharing ones may work out better depending on schedule.

   I have a sweet little sugarbaby stashed away in Sac, where I pay her share of the rent ($400) and other bills. Works great for me - gives me a place to stay when I want to get out of town and guaranteed RBGFE whenever I want it.

Another angle that I've thought about that could save some $'s would be to get an inexpensive apt. with a fellow monger or two who had the same thing in mind. You'd certainly need to be careful about who you went in on it with, and there'd need to be some agreed upon rules about who was allowed over, but with the right group it could be a veritable pussy palace.

Personally, I hate motel rooms and going over to some strange girl's place for the first time can be pretty anxiety producing, so having a safe place to play that's not my principal residence is completely worth the money to me.

I was lucky enough to have a friend working in real estate sales for a number of years, and she always had keys to vacant houses or offices she could use herself or share with friends like me. If you have any friends in real estate, you might think about making some arrangements.

She won't be so sweet when and if you decide to dump her.
She could decide to blackmail you in order to keep the heat on.
You pay them to go away.

The more people who know the more points of failure you create.
Some guy you trust gets drunk or gets religion and decides to
tell his wife everything and you are fucked. I'd rather control
my own destiny. Unless your buddy is totally trustworthy and
I'm talking about a guy who is willing to fall on his sword to
protect to (e.g. Barry Bond's trainer Greg Anderson who went to
jail rather than testify against him).

   I agree with Zambi's comments. The idea really is that you would like to be anonymous (as much as possible) with your atf/sugarbaby/whatever so that future blackmailing situations dont rise and keep everything strictly business. I find the more you see someone especially in a studio kind of setting, I get concerned that the atf will eventually find or try to find your true identity;

Right now, my atf from socal is thinking of to spend like 2-3 months here in norcal preferably in a studio/apt that is in my name or her name (I dont know whether to just pay her so that everything is just in her name and I still keep my privacy intact) and see whether she would like to move here for long term. Really it will become a sugarbaby situation for about $2k/month (including studio cost of .8k/mon) since she is very simple with her needs (thank god for that). I am just wondering whether I am getting into something that I would regret later big time and whether realistically I would be able to maintain my anonymity for such long time! Interested to know what you guys think.

I got feedback all the way to 'dontdo it' to 'way to go'. I am a little confused since my current atf is flying in shortly for a week stay (i just booked the ticket thanks to southwest it is not expensive and hope she shows up actually!) I need to commit more by booking hotel etc and the idea is if everything works out, she would consider relocating here when i rent the studio apt for her and pay for basic expenses (total 2k/month). My friend thinks I am nuts...has anyone done this before? Your comments will be appreciated...Behappy

   If you our married this could be too risky if you value your marriage

more then your ATF.

If your ATF is going too see other men at the studio apt. that you

rent for her and your name is on the lease you can be charged with

felony/pimping if she is sited for prostitution. You have too decide

if you want too take that risk.

I would think it is safer too just hand her 2K a month for an agreed

amount of time that you can spend together each month and leave it

at that. Good luck.

   Why not rent a storage space from 4 A Rent a Space or a similar outfit? You could store your excess crap in there and, at the same time, build a "love nest".
