"Getting a hotel while keeping privacy?"

Does anyone have any good tips for getting a hotel without leaving my name and credit card info all over the place?
I'm sure this has been discussed before, so my apologies for duplication, but I haven't found anything specifically on the topic with my searches.
I've been pretty much an incall guy for a while now, but I've gotten to a situation where I've got a sort of non-pro (semi-pro?) lined up and need to get a hotel. If things go well, I expect to ask her to do the reservations, etc in the future, but I think I need to do it myself to start things off.
It seems that pretty much all places need a name and credit card for the reservation. The best thing I can come up with is to pay cash to check out, so that it doesn't hit the credit card, but that still leaves my info on record. Is that the best I can do, or do people out there have a way of doing this that's escaping me?

I'd appreciate any (useful) input.
Thanks in advance.

Can you try a pre-paid credit card?

Lots of threads on this if you search the archives.

If you do the motel6 you can pay CASH. You still have to show them your DL. Most other crappy motels will also accept cash.

If you want to go to a nicer place your gonna need a CC to put down.
Also you can get much better deals on a lot of hotels if you go through priceline, etc. Also requiring a CC

Some ideas here - let her book the reservation. May or may not work in your situation - like if she doesn't have a CC or isn't old enough to get a room or doesn't have any fucking money (the reason she's fucking you to begin with most likely)

Or get another CC and have the bill sent to your work. Then keep it hid from the SO.

Good luck.

You would be surprised how many high end hotels will take cash, but the caveat is that you also have to pay a cash deposit on top of the room fee, and the deposit can be as high as $200. Normally you will get all of this back when you check out.

The Palace in SF used to do this, probably still do, and I would imagine that they are not the only ones.

I was wondering about this also, because you dont know who is looking at the hotel info. I was thinking about getting a fake ID in san jose at, KING and STORY area. Get one of those pre paind Credit cards but didint know if it would be accepted, or buy one online were they can print an actual name on it.
