"I 'prefer an upscale gentleman'"

Is that some sort of code-word? I see that in almost every ad; including those from SWs who try to escort. Or they just copy-n-paste from other ads?

What makes a $80 hoe so discerning and what qualifies as a upscale gentleman?

It means:

I prefer a total SAP who is clueless about Hookers and ready to get ripped off by me or my pimp.

Really.

Yep. Either that, or "I prefer old dudes who are less threatening."

Whenever I see the line "I prefer an upscale gentleman," I always mentally add "in contrast to the lowlife who will get all my money."

As a older upscale Gentleman most of these requests are just to try and keep away the punks who think just because they are paying they can be jerks. Sometimes not always that tends to go hand and hand with very young men.

I usually read that as they'd prefer spending time with men who have recently showered and don't act like douchebags.

IMO, they think that "upscale" means more $$$ , older, easier , clean...etc. It's a line and a qualifier for the prostitute to make her seem that SHE is "upscale" also. LOL. NOT.

It's really a farce, because any good actor/actress can convincingly play the part.Nothing special really.

"Upscale " is so passe' in the 21st century.

Also gets me when they say they are upscale. Come on now. Just a buzz word so they can charge more.

   "upscale gentleman" == "rich sucker"

Should be added to the RB lexicon file.

When they say "polite", I take that to mean they want genuinely polite, professional, nice guys.

"Mature" is usually seen in the specifications of ads for older women, who themselves are in their 40's or beyond, and aren't into servicing guys who could be their children, for obvious and perfectly understandable reasons. They want a peer or an older guy, for whatever reason. All good.

But "upscale"? Just gold-digging, that's all. Always been a turn-off for me, even when I had lots of money. A 20-year old with photoshopped pictures looking for an "upscale gentleman"? Run away, run very far away.

What about the ones who call themselves, classy? For one thing, no one who is upscale/educated/smart etc. calls themselves classy. The moment someone calls themselves classy they're running the flag up the pole so everyone can know that they're the exact opposite of what they're trying to say they are.

The description, when accompanied by pics of a woman with neck tattoos, merits bonus points for irony.

Yep, that is my biggest pet peeve. Classy chicks don't need to elaborate themselves.

I don't mind chicks who call themselves educated. I just don't like it when they're going to Heald or some vocational school and call themselves college educated.

Educated courtesans can be a lot of fun.

Yeah, "upscale" is a mis-used word around here. I think it's a given that they're looking for respectful and safe clients, for starters. No need to use upscale, blah-blah-blah.

Which segues into a pet peeve of mine. The "non-upscale" ones -- rude and crude, boundary pushers, insistent low-ballers, pimps recruiting for new prey, review system blackmailers. Oh, they know who they are (or sadly not). And as I've said before, they even belong in "reputable" cliques who seemingly support them. Go figure. I hope the ladies have formed some sort of DNS Lists for these a-holes by now.

Speaking of insistent low-ballers -- look guys, there's a wide array of price points to choose from. Get a VIP, too, if you don't have one, and you'll see. But you know what bugs me even more? A lady that will drop their own defined self-worth not because of market trend, but because of manipulation and total desperation. It can be a tough business, I understand, and I don't know why I'm even venting about something that will just continue in cycles with seemingly no end. But from both sides or all sides of the aisles, I think a good sense of dignity and integrity are key to establishing one's character and self-worth. My jaded two cents of the day.

"What makes a $80 hoe so discerning and what qualifies as a upscale gentleman?"

Keen aspirations of upward mobility...a sixth sense that can spot a mark at fifty paces...a pussy that hums and vibrates in proximity to money...years of practice...seven previous arrests and the fear of going to prison - really, who the fuck knows for sure?

"Upscale" to me would be anyone who's no longer tied to the treadmill of unfulfilling work and is now free to accompany me to the LOS (Thailand, the Land Of Smiles) on an extended and epic hunt for perfect pussy. But to the average eighty-dollar SW it probably just means someone that's got the full donation amount, plus a decent tip.

It's code for a non-streetsmart white guy from the suburbs who is easily fooled and gamed. In other words the poster child for a 'trick'.

More low maintenance for the pizzimps to ask their meat-slaves to focus on guys who are easily tricked and gamed.

That's why they call it THE GAME.
