"Legal prostitution in New Zealand"
 
   Here is an article in today's Chronicle about a girl in New Zealand auctioning off her virginity. It goes on to discuss that prostitution is legal there, and covers some other interesting topics. I thought it was an interesting article, and it got me thinking about where I might want to take a vacation someday!:

A New Zealand tae kwon do athlete who opened a brothel to fund his Olympic campaign is auctioning off the business and will use the proceeds to pay his way to overseas competitions, he said Wednesday.

Logan Campbell, who finished in the top 16 in the featherweight division at the Beijing Olympics, was condemned by the New Zealand Olympic Committee when he opened a "high class gentleman's club" in Auckland to finance future competition. Campbell will sell the business in an Internet auction and hopes to raise $210,000 toward the cost of his bid to represent New Zealand at the 2012 London Olympics.

   I've been there several times, it's wonderful. Great weather, scenic, friendly. Lots of legal brothels in Auckland, most pretty classy. Depending on the value of the New Zealand dollar against USD, prices for hobbying can be pretty attractive. As I recall you pay 160 NZD which come to around 110 US.

$110 for what??? Not a rhetoric question, I couldn't 'translate' the NZ lingo.

BTW from San Francisco you can drive to Tijuana in 10 hrs and get FS for $60 hhr at the upscale brothels.

   I don't think prostitution is legal in Brazil.
The French legalized prostitution since forever, but I don't like the street scene there.
The Dutch also legalized prostitution, and I like the windows.

Americans, should we adapt something in between?
We should at least legalize online call girls for a start. Why waste tax money chasing the girls while the fed can collect tax from them?

   Yes, it ought to be legalized and taxed. But that makes too much sense.

With the state and federal governments scrambling for money this might be a good time to propose a ballot initiative. If it's legalized the government can control it to some degree.

Then we'll get TV commercials saying HJs are like a gateway drug. Next it's BBHJs. And before long every male will be cashing his paycheck at the local brothel and saying keep be happy until the cash runs out. And the wife and kids are kicked out into the snow because the mortgage wasn't paid.

Like alcohol prohibition didn't stop drinking, illegal prostitution doesn't stop the sex. The fact this country was initially settled by Puritans may have something to do with it.

But we can try.

I have hobbied in Dunedin, New Zealand on the South Island. I was on a trip with my dad and one of my brothers, who aren't hobbyists. We were on a three week trip and I was super horny. So late one night, I snuck off to do the deed to satisfy my lust and so I could say I did this in New Zealand.
