   Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and new to "this". Having never used an escort before, I'm wondering what are some do's and don'ts that I should follow to be safe, ensure a positive experience, etc. All advice appreciated.

Thanks,

What Oralio means is "don't start"! You are obviously welcome to stay and participate in the board forums and it is not necessary to actively hobby in order to do so. As a matter of fact, in some of the forums like Community Hall it is better that you not only not hobby but abstain from all carnal pleasures so that you can harness her anger and pour it into your posts. Give in to the dark side, Luke!

Don't start is my best advice.

Ultimately, it'll cost you a ton of money, largely because Bay Area prices are so high in this business relative to other cities.
Perhaps not at first, but at some point, you'll regret the amount of cash you have thrown at these appointments.
In the end, it's just not worth it.

Oh c'mon guys. From my perspective, any hobbyist should sit down and objectively look at his budget and figure out if he has enough disposable cash to make the hobby work.

If you don't have the means to participate in this hobby, then "don't start" is good advice. If you're having regrets about the cash you've "thrown" at these appointments, my question is why are you doing it?

this hobby is no different than any other hobby or "vice" that one could "waste" a lot of money on. It can betherapeutic or personal gratification, it is "fleeting" though. Health-wise though it is better throwing your money away on this than other pursuits sucah as serious drug or alcohol use, or gambling, IMO. In fact studies have shown that a weekly massage has great health benefits.

"Bay Area prices are so high in this business relative to other cities."

Huh????

What are prices like in other cities? AAMPs or non-asian counterpart, escorts, AMP/MP

I think prices for AAMPs are very reasonable. $200/$160/$140 for an hour. Better (in theory) @ $200, OK @ $160 (many use fake pics, B&S, older providers. Find the same at $200/hr orgs but not as big of a problem). Adventurous @ $140 (may occasionally find a gem (young, slim, pretty) but be prepared to walk. Compared to escorts who typically charge $500 and up per hour and ask for references, $200/hr for a GND/DDG asian provider whose service is just as good or better than escorts is a relative bargain.

If you want quality, you have to be willing to spend some cash. And I don't think $200/hr is that much. It's high compared to what most people make per hour. But it's cheap for the kind of entertainment/service you are getting. You could probably find providers for $120 or less on Craigslist or a SW but you are playing hooker roulette. And you have to ask yourself "if you were a hot asian provider (insert your ATF's name) who gives outstanding service, what do you think your services and company is worth?". And you have to "do it" with clients who are typically middle age (father's age), balding and perhaps with a spare tire around the waist. And since most guys (I'm assuming) prefer providers who are young and slim, there would be a premium if she was GND/DDG, 20-25, slim, natural big boobs. The donation typically would be less when a provider reaches MILF age/looks ($160/$140).

In LA, rates are typically $250-$300 for AAMPs. But you get expanded service (rimming, coed shower, BBBJTCIM, MSOG) and looks GND/DDG.

In the Bay Area, I mostly see $200/hr providers. I occasionally try a $160/hr provider but so far, the ones I have seen were not as good (looks) as the $200/hr providers.

So far, the most I have spent for an hour is $300. If I were to spend more than that, she had better be DDG, 20-25, slim, B-D cup naturals, willing to do anything (except BBFS of course) and be very good at it. Most ads for escorts fall short of my criteria for spending more than $300 so I guess I'll save my money.

I am with you there. I think I am getting a great deal at $200 per session. Before stumbling into RB, I used to pay a lot more for much subpar service and shorter sessions. I just love those Asian providers!

WELCOME TO RB jmooreS4

Try to think through your approach and interest in the hobby. Are you just looking to bust a nut with a hot chick by getting in, getting off, and getting out. Or do you want a romantic fantasy with a lady who will be your girlfriend for an hour. Neither of these are right or wrong, just different. The experience you are looking for guides you in what to look for when search ads and reviews. At some point you will want to seriously consider getting VIP membership.

Think about what level of confidentiality and security you feel you need. A married guy typically has a need for a higher level than a single guy. This can determine if you need a hobby phone or if you can do outcalls.

For starters you don’t need to disable your profile. You have an anonymous handle so putting in the City or area you live or a city you will be doing most of your hobbying could help if you ask a question that a potential responder could give better information if they knew the area of your hobby interest.

It looks like you were able to keep both your review handle and your message board handle as jmooreS4. Not something I was able to do when I came on to the message board. I had to plead my case to administration to get the HighStepper handle on the message board. I use to just cruise the ads and read the reviews, especially after I wrote and posted a review, I could see the full detail reviews. Then one day I discovered, wow, they got a discussion board on RB. The problem came when the mods researched my request they thought I was some weirdo trying to hijack the HighStepper handle. Finally somebody I met at a mixer explained to the mods that I was weird and HighStepper is weird, so they put it together for me.

The point of this longwinded shit, is there are two schools of thought about making your review handle different from your discussion board handle.

Back in the days before internet review sites it was rough out there. Answering a newspaper ad a hobbyist didn’t know what to expect. A lot of ROBs and fakes. So in the beginning the reviewers had to come down hard on some providers for the safety of bros which required a bros before hos posture. Understand why the suggestion to keep the handles separate?

Today we are a much stronger community blessed with a lot of wonderful ladies who are true treasures that make living worth living. Instead of bros against hos we can strive to become brothers and sisters in the hobby together making it better for all. A lot of work yet to do on this, but we can focus on the well established sweetheart providers, that with due diligence in their research a hobbyist never has to come in contact with the shit that the pioneering hobbyist had to contend with, along with whatever harm might come to him. Some of these guys are still around and they may show their figurative battle scars in the tone of their posts.

To sum up, the school of thought to keep the same handle for both reviews and message board appears to be the prevailing dominant one, just an opinion, Some people act embarrassed when owning up to having two different handles. It’s not like it’s wrong, but gives the impression of hiding something or being two face. They have no need to as it’s their choice and nothing wrong with having the two handles, not to be confused with fake handles… ..later.

We also touch on 2 ways to get at reviews and mixers. Current thread in this forum:

Writing a review and approaches to the hobby

http://forum.myredbook.com/dcforum2/general/43517.html#11

Mixers, and an example of a newbie pushing too hard to quick

http://forum.myredbook.com/dcforum2/general/43515.html#11

The number one rule in the hobby is DISCRETION!!!

Hopefully you got a flavor of what kind of experience you can shape here. BTW, the guys telling you to get out before you get in and save your self are touching on potential pitfalls of hobbying which can be said about anything in life. So keep the big head engaged until you are in the bedroom with the door locked. The danger that will sneak up on you was expressed with a simple GET OUT NOW, with a book of experience and knowledge behind it, came from a “Posting Whore” a sort of play on “Attention Whore.” lol. Posting whores are the people with high post counts. Like if one has over 500 posts, you got to ask yourself WHY? And people with over a 1,000.……….well hang around you’ll see.

In addition to the very useful link Lefeu gave you here are two more.

This topic has been discussed so many times. Don't do it is the best advice, but we can't, pussies is so addictive. We are all addicts and cheaters. Women all spread their legs for a price if not where will we park our dicks? I guess men would stay home if there are no pussies in the world.

regarding what you mention about having two handles, it is my case, and i would like to merge them, but it doesn't seem to be possible -- if i create a new handle for the forum (so i don't loose my reviews), i'd loose my comments...

does anyone know if it is possible to merge two handles, carrying over the information from the one left behind to the new, consolidated one?

that would be great, and i hope Red reads this as a feature requirement

thanks!

If you want to merge handles, many times you can.

Have you contacted Support or posted in the Support Forum? Kind of remote (although it might happen) with dozens of forums, that RB is going to reply or comment here.

Typically, if you want some decent mileage out of a request for a new feature, you should post about it in VIP Members.

Are you going to be a 'escort' client, or did you mean frequenter of amp/aamp's?

cost, level of service, etc. will give you different advice (I have settled into the amp places, with great satisfaction and minumal stress on the budget)

p.s. would love to see your first post on how-it-goes!

GO TO THAILAND, SINGAPORE, BANGKOK OR THE PHILLIPINES. THESE ARE THE BEST AND YOU DON'T GO BROKE. WIDELY ACCEPTED IN THESE CULTURES.
IF YOU WANT TO SPEND THE $$$$ GO TO NEVADA IT'S LEGAL THERE AND CLOSER.

It may be legal in some areas of Nevada but it isn't cheap. Stay away from places like Bunny Ranch. Very expensive, lots of upsell and the girls there look like trailer trash. Escorts in Vegas are also expensive. You could check out ads on RB or CV to find relatively inexpensive AAMPs. There aren't that many though. Stick with reviewed providers.

I would save my money for hobbying in SF Bay Area or LA.

1).Establish a budget and adjust if your income changes...this is first

and foremost.

2).Do not fall in "love" with an RA unless you want too throw #1 out

the window. Love the experience not the person.

3). Get VIP membership and only go with well reviewed RA'S.

4). Enjoy yourself, but don't flatter yourself into believing that

for a moment the RA has any interest beyond your donation. Stop

paying her for her service and see how much time she has too

spend with you, that should wake you up too the reality of this

"Hobby".

New guy to new guy...

I started a few months ago...some thoughts..

1. Get the VIP membership and see only reviewed providers. Let the vets of the site TOFTT. They know better and aren't as shy was you/I are to ask questions, and most importantly, to walk away.

2. Go to the chat room. You'll be a lot less nervous with a provider with whom you've bantered with.

3. Treat the ladies with respect. You'll be much better treated. They are like you and I...just trying to make their way through the universe.

4. You're going be thinking about sex ALL DAY LONG when you first start. (I'll let the vets comment on whether this goes away!)

5. Like any other hobby, you'll get carried away at first. Blow too much dough. But that's OK. There are worse things to blow your dough on.

6. After you settle down...you'll get the hang of it...and you'll have a great time.

7. Re: Mixers. I've never been to one. But, based on the etiquette, it sounds like they are preferably platonic. (WARNING: I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.)

Others have said to walk away now...WTF? This can't be worse than golf!! (BTW: I swear a lot less doing this than golf!) The reason we're here is because this fills a need in our life. Go for it...but just don't let it consume you.

   Bingo.

With golf, you spend a lot of money and time with old guys and some light exercise.

With this hobby, you spend a lot of money and time having fantasy-grade sex with hot women and hot n' heavy exercise.

It's a no-brainer

An unmentioned con is amount of time you'll waste on this board looking for holy grail - an ATF. Estimate 2/3/4 x the amount of time you currently spend viewing porn.

Run away as fast as you can is my advice. I'm here, I spend time and money with these ladies and if I had it to do over again, I'd have never started. I know I have an addiction. Simple as that. Don't do it. Cancel your handle and walk away.

Hey jmooreS4!

I've been a member since 2004 and ... sorry to say ... I'm still clueless!

No really, check it out...
Read every post and response made in RB in every forum (don't forget the archives) and sooner or later your third eye will just open up and you'll be enlightened!

Okay, seriously...are you still with me? Get a gf or get married. The chicks here ain't worth it, man! They've all got cooties!!!

Allright, no more bs...I'm going to be outright honest here so listen carefully. DO NOT TRUST ANYONE HERE. We can advise you all we want but nobody (and I mean NOBODY!!!) will get your back if you fall. You can come back here and tell your bad experience and people will only sympathize with you. Truth is, there is no surefire way to be "safe" because hobbying is risky business...and ultimately it is YOU who will have to suffer the pains or enjoy the good experiences of this hobby. Your only hope is to read reviews and hope that the person(s) whose reviews you are buying are not shills or liars or the providers themselves. And if you can weed out all the scams and robs, you will have awesome experiences with those lovely ladies who are out there!

Have fun!!!!
