It's a little sad to see the last category get so many votes, but probably not that surprising. I'm guessing that some of those wives or GFs are not as sexy as they used to be, while others would still be desirable if we met them for the first time today.

Maybe some of us crave variety and ego-gratification to the point that we'd rather spend $$ on a stranger than do the same thing for free with the old ball-and-chain.

My wife has gotten a bit round over the decades, but that's not the problem. The problem is that she'd rather have arguments than make love. Our lives are actually pretty secure, but somehow she finds things to be anxious and angry about, and they are almost always my fault.

Maybe it's menopause?

   if my wife runs low on stuff to argue about then she just start making shit up. So I always have a constant number of arguments to look forward to no mater what I do or don't do.

   I still find my wife sexy, she just has a low libido and I do not. Also the "pressures of life" seem to make it difficult to find the time to get into the mood.

About the only time we get it on is when we go on a vacation.

We're an everyday couple. Provider vs. S/O sex is just different. I have no problem being with a provider and then the S/O very shortly after. For me the attraction is different and almost unrelated. i.e. sex with my S/O does not relieve my desire to see a provider in the least.

My S/O's libido is very slowly dwindling (i.e. she doesn't get off every single time) but still enjoys pleasing me.

I knew she was a keeper when we first got together and just before bed she was talking about having a bad headache. We get in bed and she starts in on foreplay. I said I though you had a headache. She said "I do and no better way than sex to get rid of one"

One day I recogized it just wasn't fun anymore. First, it had to be a scheduled "date" with her. Then, I believe she suffered from a condition called something like Vagimitis which causes her to clamp closed upon attempted entry. Further, since she as non-orgasmic, it seemed she got mad at me afterwards. Then, after a bout with uterine cancer, it just doesn't seem likely.

Now, my OTHER LTR had to stop take hormones because she threw a thrombo which clogged up some arteries and could have led to a stroke. We joke that her pu**y is broken, but we do other things, and are experimenting.

Both, and myself, are over 60 (!!!!).

But I miss the old "in 'n out" and so I have to go out for burgers sometimes, even though it scares the hell out of me each time I do it. Several recent times, I just passed on the opportunity to explore a new AMP or call up for hotel delivery when I was travelling.
