"Things that makes me want to quit the hobby."
 
1)Too many fake ads now in Redbook and CL.
2)There are girls even in this slow economy still charging high rates in the $300 range.
3)References bullshit,I don't waste my time on this because this hobby is supposed to be anonymous to the fullest and if the ladies are timid about meeting strangers then they shouldn't be in this business.
4)Not too many hot looking providers out there that is why they use stock photos of hot women.
5)Sooner or later you'll get stds' or worst get busted by LE on stings.
6)Lousy services of many providers who has too many rules.
7)Getting short changed by the ladies when she promised to stay for the hour but then gets dressed quickly once you popped.
8)Too many providers with poor hygiene,the last one I've been and did doggie style seems like she didn't wash her ass before the session,YUCK!


Yes these are good reasons for me to quit the hobby.What about you?

I think you take this hobby way too seriously. Hey, it's just for fun, take the mostly good with the occasional bad. 90% of my experiences have been good. I'm not sure what you're doing wrong, granted I am very selective.

   It gets boring soon having to deal with all the b.s. couldn't agree more. Had the same thing happen (#8 on your list). Not to mention that occasionally you meander into a chick who is a head case - there are some really mentally whacked up ladies out there; for some reason I see this mainly with the white and especially black providers. The Asians seem to have most of their marbles straight in their head.

Couldn't agree with you more about the references - if one is going to end their anonymity ya might as well get a regular girlfriend. Otherwise forget the reference b.s.

1) Research beats fake ads.
2) There are girls that don't.
3) References don't violate anonymity, they help protect both providers and clients.
4) Too many? no. Many, maybe.
5) Hobby carefully and stay covered.
6) Some providers give excellent services with few rules.
7) Getting more than you paid for by providers who stick around after you pop, priceless.
8) Be a little more choosy.

   I haven't been at this too long. But I agree with all your point except the part about references. That does seem like a pain. How does one go about getting it? Inbox a veteran RB member and kiss his boots for a while or what?

As catlover and likkit pointed out the problems you mentioned can be minimized. I don’t know how long you have been in the hobby, but RB with research diligence is way better than the old SW and newspaper ads.

It sounds like you are ready to leave the hobby and get on with the next phase in your life. Best of luck, and there are other alternatives to the hobby.

Sorry, but I disagree. You can say the same thing about taking a vacation, eating out, or whatever you do for fun. I enjoy this activity and I am willing to pay for it. Therefore, it is definitely not a waste of money for me.

What if your SO is not delivering the goods? Confucius said "if a man does not get what he needs at home, he will look for it somewhere else". I suppose one option is to look for another SO, but that does not seem to solve the problem, in general.

Here's my current one:

- Uncontrollably Gossiping Men that talk shit about other people (who really has no dealings or relations with them) in thinking that it advances their status around here, even going to the extent of proclaiming their word is God-like and that providers would be more successful if they session with him. That's right, I said Men, not Women. Uncontrollably Gossiping Men.

It's not a whine but certain truth in my list that other hobbyist can agree on.It's seems like you have not been in the hobby long enough.One good reason to quit the hobby? Yeah to try my game in the civie world for getting laid.

Now seriously, Mindfreak -- to try your sharpened game here in RB in the Civie world is seriously the next level! The best to you there!

Now I would call that a topmost reason to quit the hobby. The wham-bam-in-an-hour-thank-you-ma'am gets pretty old after awhile, you know. There's just nothing like a Civie experience. It's simply, more complete and genuine! Don't let the naysayers get to you (strings, cost more, yadi-dadi-da). Civie on!

However.... your list is of the next, next level. That's a topic of a different level and discussion. I'm really just talking about "civie, FWB/NSA fun" here.

Nope sorry, that was a whine. Plus on top of your whining you're trying to drag everyone down with you by asking us why we want to quit. Hell, I don't wanna quit. I don't mind giving out a fake name. I have a hobby phone plus a couple of ladies who can vouch I'm a good guy so nothing traces back to real me whatsoever. You could do the same thing if you wanted to instead of crying about it. I've also only had one problem in the years I've hobbied. Since then I learned to research and be very choosy and it's worked. But if you want to quit then just freakin quit already. Stop posting and try your "game" out in the civie world. Nobody's stopping you so stop whining about how bad it is here like you're stuck or something.

Kinda have to agree with you, as in anyhing there are +'s & -'s and ya just have to roll with it. The +'s far out weight the -'s.....and just maybe? my attitude and expectations have something to do with how the visits turns out.

I have no intentions of quiting....yet. But as far as the forums, that's another topic, gets kind of old listening to grown men?? complain or trash working women(some women need to find another line of work)because their expectations were not met.

I have had many second thoughts while sitting in a car waiting around feeling very conspicuous.

I try to keep this hobby in perspective that it is a luxury to investigate a basic impulse that is present in almost all men. A little research does help increase your odds of fulfilling your specific expectations.

   Their our pros and cons too every human endeavor.
CON

1) Always has been and always will be "fake ads". Stick too
proven RA's that have many positive reviews.

2) Girls can ask what ever they want..We do not have too pay.

3) Again, reference merry go round is voluntary, you do not have to.

4) Many hot providers in RB.

5) That's your opinion...if your active sexually in the civie world
you will sooner or later get std's. Very small risk of being
"Busted" at a AAMP or AMP.

6)RESEARCH-RESEARCH and VIP Membership in RB.

7)Same as # 6 above

8)Same as # 6 above

If you our ready too quit this HOBBY then quit. Good Luck.

Not that many more than there ever were. The Internet has made it easier to cross check, do your homework. in the "old days" you had "pot luck classifieds, or were forced to cruise the street to check out the wares personally.

2)There are girls even in this slow economy still charging high rates in the $300 range.

I have never begrudged anyone charging what they think they were worth. However, I'm not a "haggler" so if the initial offer isn't in my price range or I don't see the value, I pass.

There are a lot more crazies in the world today. Refer to #2.

Not if you're careful. In the 70's BBFS was the norm and your risks were a lot higher. As for LE, my record would have been perfect had I not let my guard down while playing out of town and put myself in a risky situation. Other than that, all I've lost was money.

Again, do your homework. You want consistency, go to Asia or Europe.

Expect this. The lower priced girls have always been "one pop or the time limit, whichever comes first.

Not to be overly critical, but everything you complain about is a "part" of the hobby. If you can't accept this as the norm, you're right and maybe you should quit.
