LAST EDITED ON 03-Jul-10 AT 11:24 PM (PST)
Some of the guys that have been around as long as we have,
chabanais, know that in some ways I am involved in the scene
from a different perspective than most here. Whatever. I
have some comments on your points
>2. If the girl has a name like "Armani" or something else
>like that probably gonna be issues.
Girls name themselves to try and sound sexy. Some have
issues, some don't.
>3. If the ad says "real pics" they're probably not.
Pretty sweeping generalization here. All girls are aware
that some use phony (or real old) pics, and so many who use real pics want to
differentiate themselves.
>4. If she gives a first and last name probably gonna be $$$.
????? come on.
>5. If the ad says "visiting" or "new" but the number is
>local probably a scam.
Might be. But the first thing any new girl who comes to
town is likely to do is get a Metro phone. Takes 20
minutes, costs under $100, and is a local number. Or use someone elses number at first. I mean, how many guys are gonna dial a New York prefix with an inquiry?
>6. If she reposts her ad 5 times in one night probably a
>scam.
Many girls know damn well that few guys go beyond the first
page or two (in CL or whatever) and post accordingly. Though I grant you 5 times a night on one site is overkill. Not necessarily evil, though.
>7. If she's based in Hayward 50/50 says there'll be a pimp
>or problems.
Seems pretty sweeping. With ANY girl it is 50/50 at least
that there is a pimp involved. Don't know personally if
Hayward is better or worse than average.
>8. If the ad is super long probably $$$.
Never noticed this, but then, never looked for it either.
>9. If when you click on the photo it's tiny probably will be
>problems.
When it is posted where? And how knowledgable is the >poster? Pretty broad statement.
>10. If she says she accepts gifts probably will upsell.
I think it is tacky for her to say that. Does imply a certain
greediness....but still a broad statement.
>12. If you Google her number and a different name pops out
>watch out!
That's silly. Few girls work under their real names, and
many aren't sophisticated enough to be aware of googling
phone numbers. In fact, a girl would have to be fairly stupid to work under her real >name with a phone number listed to her. "OK, I've decided to be a hooker. I'll just use my real name and number and hope my parents and friends don't call and get my message"!
>13. If there's a lot of tats probably a pimp or ghetto.
Depends on the tats! Lot of punk rock hookers with tats.
Beware of crowns. Or "property of" (though that could be a biker chick)
>17. If the photo looks too good it probably is.
Or was just done by a pro.
>19. If all the photos look like they were taken by a
>different camera at least half of them aren't of her.
Come on. Girls choose pictures they like to post. They may
not have been taken at the same time or by the same camera. Again, sweeping.
>20. If the ad says stuff like: I'll treat you like your
>wife/girlfriend doesn't you'll get taken for a different
>kind of ride.
Or just get some head or rimmed. Come on now.
>21. If she's wearing ghetto jewelry she will be... ghetto.
Good bet.
>22. If her phone number has a "O" instead of an "0" or if
>she breaks it up like 415 Six 34 679 Zero best to pass on
>her.
Lots of reasons girls disguise their number. Ranging from
sites that won't let you post a number (if the computer
recognizes it as a phone number) to LE concerns from
previous problems, to hiding from BFs, family, or former
pimps.
Your post is a real mixed bag, in my view. Some good info,
some, well, not so good info.
I hand it to you for trying to share your observations with
others, even if some of them aren't (in my opinion) really
valid.

PS did you know that the original "Rule of Thumb" was that it was illegal to beat your wife with a stick bigger around than your thumb? Don't tell any pimps....
