Don't know about SF or SAC, but in San Jose I've just walked in with the girl, laid down some cash, got a key, and we walked into the room no questions asked.

Thanks, I've wondered the same thing as a couple of ladies whose ads I've seen or I've connected with on chat work these places and I've never tried one. Sounds like they're commonly known for this type of activity, so that's always felt like a potential red flag that they could be targets for unwanted attention by LE or by undesirables, i.e. pimps hanging around or something.

Utter nonsense. I've been going to the hot tubs on University for years by myself. Soak my bones, relax. It's nice.

Most customers are couples. Presumably some are johns and hookers. Nobody cares. But the myth that these are brothels with providers hanging around waiting for dates is simply nonsense.

Go take a soak in a hot tub by yourself. It's healthy and good for you. Then when you understand the lay of the land, bring a girl. You can't find hookers lined up waiting for you. Never happen, not in this decade anyway.

Agreed. Checking it out alone is your best bet. We owe it to ourselves to relax once in a while anyway!

As far as LE hanging around, whether that's true or not, what do they know? That could be your GF, wife or cousin (if you're from the hills of West Virgina) for all they know. Pimps hanging out? Shouldn't be an issue. As long as you do your research on your provider and know she's pimp free, then you're fine.

I've been to the hot tubs on University Ave. in Berkeley many times with many different girls. Always clean, low-key, no hassles. Get the coupon online for $10 off and save some dinero. If you're meeting a girl for the first time and plan on taking her to the hot tubs, you may want to meet her at a nearby restaurant or coffee house first just to make sure things are cool (price, services, looks, etc.).

I've been to Zen Springs in Oakland and Watercourse Way in Palo Alto which are both elegant, high-end water spas that can't be beat. They're a little more spendy, but well worth it with the right girl. Take someone who's good at massage, as well as providing services, and you'll be in hog heaven...I garaun - fuckin' - tee it!

A couple of years when I met a provider at the hot tubs on University Avenue they were complicit with my being robbed by that provider.

We met and went into the room. I paid for the hot tub. After giving her the money she said she had to go get condoms. That didn't sound good so I suggested she leave the cash in the room. She countered by offering to leave her personal checks. Although suspicious I relented. Two minutes later I was out at the desk and she was gone. The attendants all of a sudden could not understand or speak English. My $150 was gone and they didn't care at all.

In San Francisco, it's the Hot Tubs on Van Ness Ave between Broadway and Vallejo Streets. There's easy street parking if you drive around the block... even a Walgreen's one block east (@ Polk/Broadway) if you need to buy condom's, etc., Starbuck on Vallejo/Polk... my point being it's a safe, nice neighborhood. Not sleazy in any way.
You won't find Hookers lurking around the area. You meet up outside, go in, pay and get a large room with with shower, hot tub, sauna, bed, and clean towels. Easy in, easy out. Enjoy yourself.

Here's a link for $10 off a one hour soak

I'm like kantut, except I'm probably more of a newbie. Experiences incall and FBSM, but not an outcall (and certainly not at a residence). Any recs for hot tubs in the South Bay? I searched Google Local and saw a bunch. Just curious which locales the RB brothers recommend. Pls feel free to PM me.

thanks!

RB has a hot tubs directory. I went twice to Grand Central off Saratoga in SJ, and once to Watercourse in PA. The latter one is better.

http://www.myredbook.com/hottubs.aspx

To me, hot tubs are good place for a quick in and out...but I've no longer done that.

Now I spend another $15-$20 more and get a decent hotel room with bigger bed, full shower, and a whole day to plan. This arrangement also works well for me when it goes to extra time...unlike tub places, someone will ring you before the time is up.

I agree with you two completely. I only tried hot tub once, at the one on University in Berkeley. The heat and humidity caused me to sweat profusely, even before any action began. I didn't dip my toes into the tub even, but I smelled like I was soaked in chlorine for the rest of the day. I would never go to another hot tub date again.

24. "RE: underwater bj's/breathing thru her ears"
In response to message #6

   From some website or other:

The human sense of hearing is based on the interaction of two different organs: the inner ear and the middle ear. The inner ear performs a preliminary sound analysis, separating the sound into frequencies, and contains sensory cells that capture sound vibrations and send them on as nerve impulses to the brain. The middle ear is a mechanical audio amplifier that captures the weak sound vibrations in the air with a membrane (the eardrum), amplifies them (with the help of the ear bones) and sends them on to the inner ear. Without the middle ear, the inner ear would not function.

"It looks as if the first step in the evolution of the middle ear had nothing to do with hearing. Our forebears developed ears in order to breathe through them," says Professor Per Ahlberg.

Comment: Per Ahlberg doubtless patronizes the hot tubs with an evolved "friend" in tow

You did right by asking here first.

Rule #1. Act like you've been there. If you're worried about being treated as a newb, then don't act like one. Rates should be clearly posted, as well as the "rules of the house". Most of the time the workers don't care anyway. They know what you're there for . The only uncomfortable thing might be if they know the lady that you're with on a first name basis.

Rule #2. Don't act like it's the "walk of shame". Heads up, and politely, with self confidence but not arrogance, ask for a hot tub for two people for 1 hour. The going rate should be posted.

Rule #3. AFAIK, you can't "book" in advance. It's first come first served but in all my years, I've never been asked to wait.

If curious, you can always do a "dry run" by visiting one on the pretext of checking out the rates and the facility.

I have patronized Grand Central in SF (Van Ness location and Fell St?) and Berkeley and SJ (Garden City), and the hot tubs in San Leandro/Hayward.

You can (and probably should) make reservations on a room at Watercourse in PA.

   There's nothing in Sac area.
Agree about the tubs on University in Berkely and Van Ness in SF: hot, sweaty, chloriny. I had a beautiful girl almost faint once on me there when we were doing it in the room. It was just too hot.
So then I found Zen Springs in Oakland. Very nice, clean, cool, normal tap water in the tub and good shower, big nice mirrors. It's $60/hour for 2 people. Asian operators stare at my girls there but WTF.

I agree with the guys about the humidity and heat. I couldn't take it. Someone used to east coast or southern summers, however, may find it nostalgic...

The chlorine smell was strong, but the heat and humidity is what did me in.

the problem is if you are trying to be DISCRETE this may NOT be the place for you! it's in the open and you may possibly run into someone that you didn't expect to run into. One way to avoid this is to get the room yourself and then have your DATE meet you in the room... but i still prefer hotels personally.

Albany Hot Tubs is great as they are one of the few places with tubs open to the sky, no chlorine smell, old school wood tubs, etc. I much prefer that to indoor spaces with casino lighting. Plus I first went there more than 30 years ago.
